Prayer Requests 7-22-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 11

For the director of music. Of David.

In the Lord I take refuge.
    How then can you say to me:
    “Flee like a bird to your mountain.
For look, the wicked bend their bows;
    they set their arrows against the strings
   to shoot from the shadows
    at the upright in heart.
When the foundations are being destroyed,
    what can the righteous do?”

The Lord is in his holy temple;
    the Lord is on his heavenly throne.
   He observes everyone on earth;
    his eyes examine them.
The Lord examines the righteous,
    but the wicked, those who love violence,
    he hates with a passion.
On the wicked he will rain
    fiery coals and burning sulfur;
    a scorching wind will be their lot.

For the Lord is righteous,
    he loves justice;
    the upright will see his face.

  1. Pray for younger daughter living in the hotel. She is getting her advice from older daughter living in the hotel, who has decided to throw off the shackles of belief and enjoy the hedonistic lifestyle.

  2. Asking God for a refreshing of her faith and knowledge she had before. May blinders to the truth fall away exposing deceit that tricks her into wrong thinking and living. May she look to God as the true source of love and care and turn from harmful advice not grounded in God’s word. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. My dad fell in the bathroom a few hours ago. He thought he bumped his head and hurt his hand. I asked him about them a bit later. He had forgotten and thought it was his side (which he injured last year when he fell). But getting up from the table later, his knee was giving out. May have been what caused the fall. Anyway, wisdom. Thanks.

  4. My dad was up at three, thinking there was a snake in his room. I searched, no snake. But he got dressed and came out for the day, so I settled him in his chair and went back to bed. When I came out from my shower, he was coming in from his first walk.
    Prayer, wisdom to stay ahead of him. Whether to go to church or stay home. If he is off I am not comfortable putting that responsibility on either child Though they are both very good with him, especially seventeen year old son.
