Prayer Requests 7-15-23

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 5

A psalm of David.

Listen to my words, Lord,
    consider my lament.
Hear my cry for help,
    my King and my God,
    for to you I pray.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
    in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly.
For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
    with you, evil people are not welcome.
The arrogant cannot stand
    in your presence.
   You hate all who do wrong;
you destroy those who tell lies.
   The bloodthirsty and deceitful
    you, Lord, detest.
But I, by your great love,
    can come into your house;
   in reverence I bow down
    toward your holy temple.

Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
    because of my enemies—
    make your way straight before me.
Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
    their heart is filled with malice.
   Their throat is an open grave;
    with their tongues they tell lies.
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
    Let their intrigues be their downfall.
   Banish them for their many sins,
    for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
    let them ever sing for joy.
   Spread your protection over them,
    that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
    you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

  1. Prayer for husband in his usually busy life. He heads out today to help daughter with the twins as her friend’s planes were all canceled (she booked four different flights). He has his infusion Monday, comes home Wednesday, heads out Wednesday to help a friend move to West Virginia. Then he should have time to see the lung specialist.

  2. Prayer here. Today is the day we tell daughter we are not allowing her to move to New York with her boyfriend. He leaves Tuesday, she plans to follow him after she works a couple months in Montana. Today I tell her no and that if anybody helps her we can charge them with harming a vulnerable adult.
    I woulprefer words of wisdom that would convey we love her and want to support her in her endeavors but not to the point of hurting her or allowing preventable harm to befall her.

  3. Well. That did not go well, from about when I said, as your guardian, I will have to say no.

    But after I left her ranting on the street, she calmed down and is ready to discuss again.

  4. Woo hoo! Daughter talked calmly with me and agreed to my plan of her moving to Lewiston and getting a dog and a job there. Thanks for praying. Keep it up!
