  1. Good morning, all. A beautiful day here.

My dad is slipping again. I am back to being his wife or adopted daughter. He was up and in his chair by four this morning, husband thought he was up around two but I was asleep. My brother was only here less than twenty four hours in the past several weeks. He got called away when his sis in law was suddenly hospitalized over by Seattle (she is back home now), they returned from there and now brother and wife are on a quick camping trip. Anyway, my brother calls my dad every day and goes through old pictures. That seemed to help dad understand things like I am his daughter. But with the turmoil he has been unable. I wonder if that has contributed to the decline though it is not unexpected.

  2. Morning.
Thankful the Lord gives to us strength for the day Mumsee. Praying for your Dad as the days wane… that he might truly see His Hand guiding and caring for him❣️and covering you as you walk alongside…

  3. oh, Mumsee, you are doing such a work. Praying that God would uphold you as you care for your dad.

Texted my kids last night. Did not ask for forgiveness, but acknowledged my mistake and said that I had cancelled family camp. Got positive responses from my three girls. My son works nights so probably has not even seen my message.

Family camp does have a baptism and camp fire on Saturday that everyone is invited to. I will just have to see what is happening here.

  4. Good late morning. The weather continues to be pleasant here. The temp high yesterday was 89° with not so high humidity and a breeze. In the GA mountains it got down to 59°.

Mumsee, you are an angel. I know you have yet to be discovered wings on your back. I pray his confusion will go back into hiding.

Art has a sore ankle. He does not know why. I prayed over it this morning. The only thing different in his diet was some of the dark cherries which I read can be good for inflammation and gout so they are not suspect.

  5. I am getting ready to make our new favorite, Banana Ice Cream. The bananas have been in the freezer for eight hours. I am thankful Art likes it. So nice to have a dessert that has no added sugar. The cinnamon in it helps keep blood sugar from spiking, too.

  6. Enjoying the app my tech brother pointed me to. I point the cameras at things and it tells me what they are. Interesting but I feel like I do better at identifying than the app does. A couple days ago, one of my chickens was a small African primate, yesterday it was a red jungle fowl. It identified my husband as a human but daughter only made it to mammal. Son in law’s dog is either a skunk or a stink badger. He is black and white so that is something.

  7. I froze watermelon chunks and then put them in the blender or food processor with some lime juice. I have made actual watermelon sorbet but wanted to try something without the extra sugar. They are a somewhat strange texture, kind of like freeze-dried. I froze in small containers for a treat when I wanted something cold. With just two of us it is difficult to use up even a small melon or piece. This helps me not waste any of it.
