Happy Anniversary, Kathaleena and Ralph! May it be a wonderful occasion!
Yesterday was the anniversary of my friend. Karen, and her husband. The coincidences in our lives are so amazing. We both spent the first night of our honeympons in the same downtown hotel, Peachtree Plaza. They had their wedding dinner at Petite Auberge. We had our engagement dinner at that French restaurant. The listing of coincidences in our lives could go on and on.
A quote from Robert Morgan in the introduction to his book, The Fifty Final Events in World History:
“The Intelligent Creator is an Infallable Communicator, and He has packed His Word with remarkable predictions, like a woman packing remnants into her quilting chest.”
Good morning, all. Rough night last night but not as rough as one month old twins! My husband did electrical work last night and I neglected to reset my dad’s clock. We had no idea he was actually able to use it. That, of course, does not explain getting up to shave at eleven and two, but does cover being out here at five in the morning for the day. And then there was the raccoon.
I am tracking husband on a GPS tracker as he is running his 50 miler at San Juan Solstice in Lake City. They started out at 5am…and here I was annoyed when the dog wanted me to let her out at 5:30!!!😂
We will not be celebrating today, except for a graduation ceremony for my niece’s son. Then we will leave from there and drive to our youngest daughter’s home. Tomorrow they will have the graduation party for her oldest son. Our daughter from TN is here and will be with us for it all.
There is also a gender reveal party for our expected great-grand, but I am not sure if we will make it or not. It is about the same timing as the grad party and in a different city. It is about half-way between my oldest and youngest daughters.
My husband’s group recently sang, Happy Anniversary to You, to the tune of Happy birthday for a couple who were having their 72nd anniversary! He is 95 and a former Marine. You would never suspect either is as old as they are.
My dad came out at six thirty this morning, just as singing started. Singing has captions so we at home can sing along. All the music was clear Gospel. The Glory of God, our sin, His Sacrifice, our life in His salvation. Now he is eating and the excellent sermon saying the same things but without closed captions continues. May God reach him and drag him into Life.
Praying for the truth and wisdom of God to enter into his heart and soul and infiltrate his mind today, Mumsee. Saying the name of Jesus over him and the Nest. May God do a saving work there today!
My son in law drove out here with the kids and got all of my 15 bags of yard waste and even a pile of sticks and a few logs and took it to the green waste drop off which is by his house. So wonderful. Turns out we left the tops of the bags open so they had dried out and were lighter.
Now it is my job to keep up with the yard around here and set it out in the bin. I will even get serious and buy a rake this week.
Oh, when they were getting the sticks a deer came out from under the deck. Then the kids crouched down and saw two more that went out the other end. I did post a picture from this morning on Facebook.

I shared this with a friend who has an elderly dying out church population in which a new group of believers from another nation are the new folks in the congregation. Uniformity is impossible, but unity in Christ can hopefully work out. This has multiple applications in all Christian groups:

That’s Mama fox. She had a least 1 kit with her, but it stayed out of sight over the hill for the most part. Couldn’t get a good shot quick enough.

You must have some salt or something under there! Cool! But they have sharp hooves and can kick.
