  1. Turtles! I dreamed about a turtle last night😃 I had seen a post on Instagram yesterday of a cat in its bed and a big turtle came over and tried to take over the cat bed. Cat’s can’t move a turtle when it goes into its shell😃🤣😄
I am sure that is how the turtle infiltrated my dream.

  3. We are mid fifties headed to mid seventies. I hope to get more mowing done as well. Maybe start watering as fire precaution. The season has already begun but nothing big around here yet.

  4. Same temps here, mumsee. The only water running is my sprinkler, however. We seldom have to water, since we have red clay for soil. It is very dry here and our county has a ban on open burning right now.

It is a camping/bluegrass weekend for us. We do not camp anymore, however, so will enjoy going to jam and listen just for some time each day.

  5. Just checking in with everyone.
We have a signed lease on this house, so everything is moving along with the other house.
I asked my Dear Darling Husband to clean out his closet…soooo….he wen’t to the store and bought 5 plastic bins to put his cloths in. I am fairly certain, if I were to pack up ALL of my clothes I wouldn’t need that many.

I can also see his time in the military and being moved around showing. He currently worries about what he needs to be thinking about to worry about.
    1. We need to buy a new refrigerator. Ummm no we don’t. This one works. The shelf is broken. Ummm let’s see if we can just order a new shelf for the one we have. See? He thinks of problems. I solve problems.
    2. We need to take up the roses on each side of the front walk, the renters won’t take care of them. Ummmm…no we don’t. We are paying for lawn care in their lease.

I am a real estate agent. I have told him not to even breathe on a credit card until we close on the other house. He is being the typical buyer with all that we NEED to do. We can do it the week after we close.

  6. So, I finally got that swatch of wallpaper to post. I love it. It’s peel and stick wallpaper.
For those of you “in the know” on how to hang wallpaper, now is your time to dust off those skills and make a fortune hanging wall paper.
Since it went out of style for 20 plus years, no one is around to hang it now that it is popular again. My former wall paper hanger turns 86 in a few days so she certainly can’t hang this for me. Although the fact that you don’t have to dip it in water, and block it and all the other stuff might make this easier.
Anyway this is sort of the “inspiration” for the new house since it is even more open than this one….the BEST feature it has is that the “primary” bedroom is away from the kitchen!!!!
There is a powder room at the front of the house and I want this wallpaper in there. I already own a mirror that will look terrific with the wallpaper and in that bathroom.

This is the color Mr. P has painted the adirondack chairs and ottomans that we already had.

The house is white with black trim and I wanted another color to use that wasn’t ordinary and overused. The blue is what I found.

  7. In 2 1/2 year old twin news. They have been moved into their toddler beds. Two nights ago they were up at 11pm taking apart their beds. Mattresses were on the floor, the metal spring section was tipped up and they were crawling behind/beneath it on one of the beds. This was all seen on their baby monitor. Poor K was like: “just go to sleep!” She said they got up again at 5am and started taking things apart again 🙂

  8. In other twin news, grandpa is on his way down to meet them. But only for a brief time as son called and requested his help. So he catches a red eye to Chicago to help son move the uhaul back to Virginia.

  9. Well we just had a hail storm! Paul and I were rushing around gathering my hanging baskets and container plants. We heard that eerry whooshing sound in the distance as it approached….I only got pelted as I lowered the patio umbrella and rescued my lantern and petunias on the deck! Ouch !!!!

  10. I have a 50 foot deck on the back of my house. On one side it is open. I think several deer are now living under there. Should I be working on enclosing it? What problems will they bring?

I m sure Michelle has some ideas.

  11. I love tales of twos.

I’m at a conference in Columbus. I’ll be speaking about my book at OMS in Greenwood on Tuesday, Louisville on Wednesday.

I’ve slept about 24 hours in the last 4 days.

    And now, I’m off.
