hwessli, I am wondering where you heard that conservatives were bringing things to the counter and then changing their minds. Is there a link somewhere where you read this or is it a personal anecdote? I had not heard that. I would agree that it is an immature thing to do.
Whether or not it is true, I would hardly equate it with a bomb threat called in. Bomb threats were often called in to local schools and colleges for a period of time in the past. Such things are taken much more seriously these days.
The main point, though, is the media purposely misleading others about the people behind the threats. I know those who were startled when finding out the truth and those were people who generally keep up on the news.

Forget about inflation – raise wages and lower interst rates so the working class can catch up.
Kids get bored, no matter the topic – LGBQT or Lord of the Flies or Surface Area; they’ll fidget, sleep or sneak a look at their phone. It means nothing. However, if LGBQT activists want a backlash, force LGBQT messsages on them. Nothing wrong with pointing out the problems of racism and any type of phobia but if you come across as an authority figure they will rebel. The same thing that makes kids chant USA are my pronouns is the same thing that made my Catholic female friends flash the nuns at their school — teens will rebel against any message.

We’ve now entered the ridiculous situation where the “cure” for inflation, higher interest rates, is actually causing inflation through higher shelter costs. Forget about inflation – raise wages and lower interst rates so the working class can catch up.

Kids get bored, no matter the topic – LGBQT or Lord of the Flies or Surface Area; they’ll fidget, sleep or sneak a look at their phone. It means nothing. However, if LGBQT activists want a backlash, force LGBQT messsages on them. Nothing wrong with pointing out the problems of racism and any type of phobia but if you come across as an authority figure they will rebel. The same thing that makes kids chant USA are my pronouns is the same thing that made my Catholic female friends flash the nuns at their school — teens will rebel against any message.

Can we find a more reasonable way to discuss differences? I don’t know HRW, can you? Making more work for employees isn’t a crime. It might just keep them busy doing their jobs in a store where sales are down. Bomb threats are criminal activities— unless you are an angry trans apparently.

Debra, I look at it from a working class perspective. Both affect workers negatively. And both behaviours are immature.

apples and oranges. The WH has always been a place of respect and history in our nation. Yes there have been no perfect leaders. But up until Clinton Obama and now Biden there was a level of respect for the leaders of our country.
I didn’t want to know what kind of undies Clinton had on. I didn’t appreciate the WH being lighted up as a ” pride” symbol for how people choose to have sex! And now we are subjected to viewing deviants exposing body parts and having public orgies on the lawn….and an old man with dementia spurring them on as an in your face to the citizens of this nation!!! Our tax dollars at work!!

Obama lighted up the White House to celebrate homosexuals…as an in your face move to show those not in agreement just who was in charge. On foreign soil he apologized for how awful we were as a nation. His wife was ashamed of this country. Great leadership yes? He loved being a rock star in company of the Hollywood elite.

A new White House video insisting that Americans’ children collectively belong to the nation instead of their parents has sparked fierce responses from Elon Musk and a host of conservatives including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
The video, released this week, featured the White House lit up in rainbow colors as President Joe Biden intoned, “These are our kids. These are our neighbors. Not somebody else’s kids. They’re all our kids.”
“Our children are the kite strings that hold our national ambitions aloft,” Biden continues. “It matters a great deal how we treat everyone in this country. LGBTQ Americans, especially children: You’re loved, you’re heard, and this administration has your back.”
Musk, the SpaceX chief and owner of Twitter, had a succinct and harsh response to the Biden administration’s claim: “You are the government. They are NOT your kids.”
Still adamant they aren’t after the minds and bodies of our children. Take off the blinders and see and hear…
