Pretty flowers. We have a lot of lupines on the roadsides now. Such a beautiful time of the year as different flowers bloom in their various times. So short lived–just as scripture says.
The header appears to be a boundary line consisting of flowers between two properties. That is sweet! Of course, I could be wrong, and AJ can correct my mistake.
It’s a great day for Bible study. It is the chapter of Ephesians about husbands loving wives and wives respecting husbands.
We are on the cool side this morning which is preferred over hot and muggy.
I’ve been asked to speak at church on the 25th. Any ideas? It’s a small congregation: two in their 80s, three of us in our 60s, and a family with two children 8 and 10 yrs old.
Good morning all. I thought I would be herding cows out
Of my yard this morning at five but son in law beat me to it and got the gate closed behind him as he headed out to work.
41 degrees here but the sun is shining and this forest floor has never looked lovelier. We just aren’t used to it being so green… thankful!!
Peter I am certain the Lord will equip you for the moment. It would seem something confronting us now is a world out of control and we find ourselves in the midst of it all. Perhaps that is why Psalm 23 has been in the forefront of my heart and mediation.
The attack is not only coming from outside of the church but sadly within. He is our Shepherd and we shall not want. He leads us as we seek Him and bring glory and honor to His name.
After reading yesterday’s news thread, I have some concerns. My four year old grandson believed he was Spider-Man. According to the thread, I could be in big trouble if I don’t affirm. Where does one find radioactive spiders? Or should I just go straight to a radioactive site and hope to find one. Today, though, he thinks he is a dirty Brussels sprout. How do I make that happen? Guess I will stay out of California for now.
Today will be my first day watching the grands this summer. 6 and 5. Pray please for strength, creativity and love. God has been giving me ideas, including jobs that we can do together and they can be a help to me. I find that kids behave better if they have something to do.
Since we are in Ephesians, I will throw up for consideration Ephesians 6 and God’s protection. Use it as scripture basis to speak about the attributes of God? And work Psalm 23 in because that goes along with His love, care, and protction which is supernatural and beyond what we can think or imagine (part of a verse we were considering today)😆
Kathaleena, true on the attributes. I find it very calming to think on the attributes of God as given in the Scripture, whenever I am preparing to engage a particularly difficult child but also, any time as it brings forth praise of the Holy One.
I went ro Kroger and upon return I found Miss Bosley on the bed nestled up to my stack of two super large print Bibles (NKJV & NLT). So sweet to see her like that. I had used them in my online study in Mark.
The question posed by the teacher was what did Jesus do first when he arrived in Capernaum. Seems a simple question, but the NLT said that when the Sabbath arrived that he taught in the synagogue. The NKJV makes it sound like that they immediately went to the synagogue upon arrival in town and he taught then. I explained the difference in translations and that I felt like he had prayed before he taught althpugh it does not say that. I know we are to add nothing to scripture, but somethings seem so very logical. The NLT made it sound like he had been there a day or two before the Sabbath. I ended up saying that his first recorded action was to teach.
Good Afternoon Everyone. I am really enjoying reading Lettie.
It has lead me to think about how the Holiness Movement affected my life. My grandmother left to Baptist Church she was raised in to join the Assembly of God Church.
I went to an Independent Methodist Church School who certainly taught us about Moody and others.
Even in my own church now, they will bring someone up front and the priests and anyone special to the person will lay on hands and pray while the rest of us point our hand to the front.

Monday’s gone, Tuesday’s here. The week progresses.
And now Pat Sajak is retiring. Is Vanna next? Time rolls on

Big brother, study the attributes of God and let Him direct your thoughts to what those hearts need to hear.

Psalm 37 is also very appropriate for these days. The attributes of God are why we don’t need to fret.

This is probably old news for most, but my Glorify App (daily devotional) used the term ‘doomscrolling’ this morning so I looked it up:

Congratulations Michelle! And good afternoon to all.
Janice, a study in Ephesians sounds interesting—4:15 has been a theme in my heart for years. I fall woefully short, but then what else is new. :–)

Mumsee,
I have to ask, why a dirty Brussels sprout? Seems quite specific, no?

Congrats, Michelle. I am still waiting for it on Audible as I now have four credits to use!
