Seven years ago I got to spend Michelle’s Birthday with her. Happy Birthday Michelle!
That also means that tomorrow will be 15 years of being an “orphan”. A few weeks ago two songs rotated through my music that reminded me of my father.
First, I had been thinking about him because I was going to a family get together at the beach the next day. I was stopped at a light and Big John by Jimmy Dean played. Then the next day on the way down to the beach Little Jimmy Brown came on. While tears formed I still smiled. I like to call those God Winks.
The other day, I was talking to Annease at work. She is my rock. She is also her family’s rock and sometimes that is tough. She is the baby of her family and has 5 older brothers. She is quite a bit younger. Her mother died several years ago.
Anyway….I was talking to her about house training Jin, and being a total idiot in the back yard when she went outside and “tee-teed” instead of running inside to use the wee-pad. Annease got a stunned look on her face then started laughing. She said, “Thanks for that! My mother used to say that”. I laughed and out of somewhere said, “Your mother said to tell you hey and she loves you”. We both enjoyed it. Neither of us thought I was “channeling” her mother or some such nonsense. We just enjoyed the memory of her mother.
Another fishy header, ♡. Is AJ sending a hidden message for Christians? Nah, just sharing his passion which is fun to see . . . all glory to God for the fun and food He put into fish!
Today will be a pound cake as about the only bread like thing my dad can eat, besides chocolate chip cookies.
Finished making his breakfast, washing dishes, rebounder, elliptical, bow flex, rowing, biking, and I am done for the day. Unless the weather clears and I mow and weed eat.
Happy Birthday, Michelle! I know it will be a wonderful day for you⚘❤⚘May the joy of the Lord fill your heart today and every day forward until you see Him!⚘❤⚘ And may that be in the distant future unless Jesus does not tarry and we all have the blessed relief only He can provide.
We have friends from Australia on their way to a conference who will spend the weekend with us. They were supposed to arrive at 8:30 this morning, but United canceled their flight.
Since one is the person in charge . . . they rerouted themselves through Auckland, NZ.
That’s nearly a 13 hour flight, and who knows how many hours from Sydney to Auckland?
Anyway, arrival is now at 1–and even though they were part of the surprise–my husband will pick them up and send me to my party alone.
At my daughter’s house with friends and family.
All I have to do in the next three hours is finish cleaning my house for company, buy some breakfast food, and work through my list.
We got our new puppy today! He’s a cream colored Dachshund we’ve named Teddy. And he’s sooo much different than Samster. When Samster was a puppy he would take off running after the pet store owner’s cat, skidding around the corner on the floor. Teddy is a complete cuddle bunny. And he’s more like a toddler waddling from place to place. We took him outside and he was wandering through the mint like it was an Amazon rain forest. Now for all the potty training and other realities that come with puppydom. :–)
I am trying to put the mariners game on. We bought the mlb app hoping we could watch current games but nope. So watching yesterdays or last week and trying to get closed captions. With seven remotes, you would think one might work !
Very much like having a toddler, Debra. It will be worth it.
Jin is very much a “Mama’s girl”. We just got back from our morning walk.
She is another “alarm dog”. One sharp yap and we are awake.
It is overcast here. I was afraid I might need an umbrella when leaving the church service but thankfully God arranged for the rain to halt as folks left the church😄
So strange or only God’s timing! I just posted on Instagram a photo of Miss Bosley getting ready to nap in my lap while I still am wearing the dress I wore to church. As I am posting there is a slight delay, between hitting send and the post appearing, and during that second delay, up posts a photo of Miss Bosley’s twin, Charlie, over in England, taking a nap in Lynda’s lap after church. I think she has called it a “cheeky” nap😄
These things keep happening with her having just completed a granny square afghan that so resembles one my great aunt gave me. In the past she posted a photo of her cat on a quilt that I think she made, and I had just posted a photo of Miss Bosley on a similar looking quilt. It really seems unusual.
Beautiful day in the forest. It was 42 degrees this morning and no we have not turned off our furnace yet.
Two days ago my neighbor and I were wearing down jackets as we went on our daily walk. ⛄️
“They” are trying to scare us with predictions of violent weather this afternoon. The skies are cloudy but not dark in any manner…
Exciting times for you Debra!!! And always a better time to train during the Summer and not when it is 20 below zero at dark o’clock! Never again…..never again!
And I love his name😊
Aj I am happy for the fish but honestly those things have their eyes opened whether dead or alive..😳
Good day with the family yesterday, but it began too early when I received a text at 4:36 saying they were on the flight. So time to get up and drive to get them

Funny seeing a dead fish and a birthday announcement. Hidden message, AJ?
🎂🍨 ¡Feliz cumpleaños, Michelle! 🎂🍨 Cake and ice cream for all. Imagine your favorite and dig in!
Remember when mumsee made those fancy cakes for everyone? Interesting ingredients in those.

Funny.
The newsletter for June 15, at least, is done.
Now to practice my speech.
Thank you for your greetings! 🙂
