  1. We have a code orange day, ‘they’ say, for ozone and smog, yet we see the smoke from Canada, and we have low temps and low humidity which is never the case when we have ozone alerts. It was in the 40s in the N GA mountains and 60s here this morning.

I have my car back. There was no charge because they found nothing though they took off both front tires. They recalibrated the temp gauge assosiated with the tire pressure indicator. Thankful I did not need a new tire, but still a weird event.

  2. Good morning all! Sun is shining but the sky is being coy with revealing it’s bluest of blues!!
In the 37 years of living here we cannot recall ever seeing it so green around here. Thick lush grasses and plenty good eating for our wildlife! Now if they would catch all those mosquitoes buzzing around that would be great! 😂

The Lord is my Shepherd ; I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

  3. Oh Janice did they check your spare tire?
My tire pressure low indicator came on but the pressure in all tires were correct and never went down.
So when chatting with my friend she advised to check the spare tire! It has a pressure indicator on it and if it is low that could trigger the display indicator to come on. Lo and behold we put more pressure in the spare, reset the display and all is now well! Weird huh? But it’s a thing! 😊

  4. Art left the office at 4:15 trying to get home by 5:30 so we could pick up the car by 6:00 yesterday. He got home at 5:45 so we had to wait until this morning to get the car. Since he got home early enough, we went for donner at Downwind. I have felt like I am on vacation going out twice in one week. I had a hamburger, and it was good, but the barrimundi fish is even better.

I found three clothing items on Poshmark and made lower offers on them and got all three unexpectedly. The shipping really adds a lot to their cost. Goodwill shopping is cheaper, but the standing in a long line to checkout is not my thing anymore.

  5. Good morning all! My body is a little pooped this morning. One member of the family is dealing with a urinary tract infection, and I will need to take all the bed clothes to the laundry. I was going to take my comforter there anyway today to clean it before storing for the season, so it’s not an extra trip. The older you get the slower everything seems to heal. And yet, though we live in these fragile jars of clay, still by his grace our spirits are strong, and that is so much to be thankful for.

NJ, I had never heard that the spare tire could have that effect! You learn something new every day.

Thanks for reminding us of the 23 Psalm. There are parts of that psalm that have been reverberating in my spirit for many, many months. One of them is he phrase “He restores my soul…” He uses his people to help along the way, but ultimately only he can truly restore what is depleted in me. And meditating on those words brings peace to my weary spirit. And it’s not a ‘normal’ peace. Even the world can find peace in peaceful circumstances. The peace that comes with his restoration is not of this world. It’s peace in the middle of the chaos. Peace in the middle of the frustration. Peace in the middle of the uncertainty. Peace in the middle of the ICU when every doctor and nurse is telling you your husband will never come off the ventilator. It’s not natural, it’s supernatural. Thank God that he restores my soul.

  6. Good morning all. My dad has been missing his wife. We have been documentaries, some with an evolution slant, others showing how all creation points to a designer. Yesterday I was able to get his attention for a serious discussion. I mentioned a list of his friends of the past who were believers, including his wife. Mentioned the irreducible complexity of the cell, and explained that by getting to know and believe in the Designer, he could join his wife and friends in eternity,

Historically, such a conversation would have drawn derision but instead, he beamed! May God be glorified.

  7. Oh Mumsee that’s wonderful! I have been praying for your dad’s conversion, and that God would let you see the evidence of it before he passes. It’s good to see his interest in the documentaries which shows that he still has a lively curiosity.

  8. Oh he is totally absorbed by the evolutionary ones but when something mentions a designer, he picks up a book or newspaper. But I have noticed he glances up at the show.

  9. Debra thank you for sharing your heart. That scripture has been in the forefront of my heart as of late and that exact portion of restoring my soul has been to me as a balm. So much coming at me and not knowing how to process it all. I just desire to exhale! Carrying one another along as we sometimes trudge and sometime glide smoothly as we look to Him.❣️

  10. Up with the ice pack again. I need more sleep. Still work to do. I’m not very good at this.
Tomorrow morning is graduation and parking and getting there will be difficult. Not sure if my son is coming
Please pray for time with my family. I really don’t see them much at all and tomorrow is the afternoon party

  11. I just went on another walk with friend and Sweetie dog who REALLY likes me. It is so nice to feel loved by a dog. I am having to get used to morning walks instead of late afternoon. We watched for snakes the whole time. Sweetie’s family will go on many trips this summer so it’s great I can be a sub for the others who love her.

  12. Janice,

And what does Bosley think, when you come home reeking of dog?

If I pet my friend’s dog, I get sniffed, then i get the cold shoulder. One even whacked me once. 🙂

  13. That is so funny, AJ, being punished for petting a dog.

I have been surprised that Miss Bosley has not seemed to react to the smell of Sweetie. The dog is so short-haired and probably so clean, but she (dog) gets in my lap the best she can and acts like I am family. It is all good but strange with no real reaction from the cat. Miss Bosley really enjoys Art’s stinky shoes! Go figure? She can have mu part of them.😃
