Morning! Dogs had us up at 4:30 so here I sit trying to make sense it all 😂
Another sunny start to the day and I am heading out to have breakfast with my second born child.
So are those mushrooms up there or some type of barnacle growing on the trunk of a tree?? 🍄
Somehow I missed yesterday on here, but I have caught up now.
Today is the day that my friend is coming over with four of her grandchildren to work on my yard. We will see if they work. I know that she will. Next Monday is the deadline. Now I appreciate what was done here last year.

I made it to the pool yesterday. Afterwards I was sitting there drying off when the thunder started to rumble. The teens on duty really couldn’t remember what the rule was. As I left I gently told them what I was told the day before, if you hear thunder the pool is closed for half an hour and the clock restarts every time you hear more thunder. She was grateful and blew her whistle to get the last person out of the pool.

Thanks, Jo, about the door. I feel humbled and wondering how Art and I could bless someone at church as a pay-it-forward kindness. Art has one skill: Taxes! Y’all knew that. I have fewer, but I have listening ears and prayers.
I thought neighbors got the door and wood, but they must have had second thoughts because it is still there. I need to send my photo of the small pile to the county sanitation office to arrange disposal.
My book did show up on Kindle, though, as ordered. I have a couple of other long books I am currently reading, however. I am looking forward to reading it.
We are having a nice cool down in the weather department for which I am grateful. We had a lovely evening sitting outside, eating from a food truck, listening to music and visiting with a former church member.
Sadly, I found out another former member lost her one and only son. He was forty years old and accidently asphyxiated in a fish house. Sadly, his uncle found him when he went to check on why he hadn’t returned home when he was supposed to. He was currently living with his mother after relocating from another state. I was very sad to hear this. Not sure how I missed the obituary, but that happens.

Here it is very warm and we recently had a heating/ cooling system installed so this will be interesting. We hope to not use it much but want to keep my dad comfortable.
I went with my friend for lunch at Downwind, and I had the barrimundi fish, and she had one of their award winning hamburgers, at least the burgers were considered one of the best in Atlanta several years back.
We then went on a shopping spree at Walmart. I did the old shop ’til you drop routine. We hit all the hot spots like beauty and cosmetics, housewares, garden center, ladies sleepwear, ladies summer clothes, and then the grocery area. I told her I could not remember the last time I had shopped with a friend. Our buggies were full. She even bought a fan (only $30). She had to do the self-checkout for me.
In particular, my friend wanted grapes. There were none to be found. Just as we were leaving the fresh foods area, I glanced right and saw grapes. I had prayed one of those arrow prayers, “Please let there be grapes!” So funny that the almost blind one was given sight to see them where they never are according to friend.😀
Let’s see my daughter is 47 today, if I got the math right
Friends came and we all worked. Ran out of battery power on three weed eaters. I can barely move. My friend wouldn’t stop. They kept trimming and raking and I must have ten bags of stuff out there to put in yard waste over the summer
Now I need to go figure out how to bag up the rest of the leaf piles. Especially with no rake
Still working on recovering my yards from my absence. The grass is pasture grass so it is three and four feet high. And wet. So it takes a while. I race out when my dad is eating or walking. Getting there!

I always liked Billy Graham. Have not paid as much attention to his children but they seem to be doing well at what God has called them to.

Today is my brother’s birthday. He is almost seventy! Pretty amazing as my dad is too. Except when he is forty.

It was up near 90° here today so felt warm.

My oldest two are in their forties.
Still working on recovering my yards from my absence. The grass is pasture grass so it is three and four feet high. And wet. So it takes a while. I race out when my dad is eating or walking. Getting there!
