  1. Like with Russia, Russia, Russia and the other numerous farces, the press never gets around to correcting the lies they push to benefit Democrats.

And yes, that goes for the “Christian” ones too.

Of course Christianity Today wants you to forgive and forget. But they leave out the repentance part because they refuse to repent of the lies they helped push.

“No Forgiveness For Pandemic Sins Until The Guilty Repent”

“The people who abused their power and imposed tyranny during the pandemic will do it again if we don’t hold them accountable.”

    https://thefederalist.com/2023/06/03/no-forgiveness-for-pandemic-sins-until-the-guilty-repent/

“Christianity Today published a curious piece by Paul Miller on Thursday calling for everyone to forgive each other for our supposed “pandemic sins.”

He doesn’t exactly say who sinned, just that “We got things wrong,” and “Some officials made mistakes in the early days.” Things happened. Mistakes were made. It’s time to move on. Miller’s argument is basically a warmed-over, lightly Christianized version of the essay Brown University economics professor Emily Oster wrote for The Atlantic last November, which argued for a “pandemic amnesty” on account of how “uncertain” and “complicated” things were in the face of a once-in-a-century pandemic like Covid. The ruling class did its best, OK?

Oster’s piece elicited well-deserved scorn from many on the right, including our own Joy Pullmann, who noted that a genuine amnesty “requires an admission of guilt and a commitment to repairing the wrongs done.” The absence of such an admission and commitment to change, says Pullmann, is “an indication that you’re going to do it again,” and makes it impossible to rebuild trust.

Of course, the people responsible for shutting down the economy, closing schools and churches, destroying countless businesses, and condemning the elderly to die alone in their hospital rooms are not at all sorry about what they did. To this day, they don’t acknowledge any wrongdoing whatsoever. Certainly not Anthony Fauci, who in an April interview with The New York Times defiantly faulted ordinary Americans for failing to listen to him, the self-proclaimed embodiment of science.

The same people who needlessly imposed massive learning losses on schoolchildren, or barred families from burying their dead, then foisted an ineffective vaccine on the public and tried to shame or coerce everyone into taking it, regardless of their age or health status. Plenty of Americans, including those in the military and medical professions, were faced with the terrible choice of taking a shot they didn’t trust or losing their careers and livelihoods.

None of the people who did this are sorry about it. In fact, they’re proud of it — and they will absolutely do it again the next chance they get. “

  2. It seems that the msm was more concerned about the jets and sonic boom and mentioned nothing about the people on board the plane. Thank you, ET, for reporting on them.

One thing you can be sure about is that the official explanation is a complete fabrication. Did the pilot have some sudden illness, or was it something far more sinister? Hopefully, the family will get truthful answers.

    It’s a shame that such an F-16 response wasn’t enacted on Sept 11th, 2001…

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/my-family-is-gone-no-survivors-aboard-plane-that-triggered-supersonic-f-16-response_5312433.html

“Search and rescue crews have found no survivors at the wreckage of the small plane that went silent, triggering a national security response in D.C.’s restricted airspace on Sunday afternoon.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) scrambled F-16 fighter jets in an attempt to reach its pilot when authorities saw the plane flying erratically and without authorization around 3:20 p.m.

Barbara Rumpel, president of a Florida company with which the plane is registered, posted on social media: “My family is gone, my daughter and granddaughter.” She was responding to condolences from others responding to news of the plane crash.

The small Cessna 560 was registered to her and her husband John Rumpel’s company Encore Motors based in Melbourne, Florida.

The prominent business family confirmed that their adopted daughter and only granddaughter were aboard the doomed flight, which at one point registered a chilling descent of 20,000 feet a minute, John Rumpel said.

“Nobody could survive a crash from that speed,” he told The New York Times.

John Rumpel told The Washington Post that his 50-year-old daughter and her daughter were his “entire family.”

They were meant to be returning home to Long Island after a four-day visit to him and his wife in North Carolina. The pilot and the family’s live-in nanny were the other two people onboard.

Rumpel asked the media to give his family privacy at this time. He said he had no further comment, and was receiving updates from the FAA, police, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

The Cessna crashed into the mountainside in the George Washington National Forest, southwestern Virginia, around 3:30 p.m.

The FAA and North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said in a statement on Sunday that they had authorized F-16 fighter jets to fly at supersonic speeds, which at speeds of 750 miles per hour at sea level, had caused a sonic boom and concern from residents, with many reports to 911 of a loud explosion.

The F-16 pilots also attempted to engage the Cessna pilot by firing flares but were unsuccessful.”

  3. Over the weekend I stayed out of the conversation after asking my question.

With no effort whatsoever I was actually able to offend Kizzie yet again.

Several others said what I would, only in far less offensive terms to than I seem capable of.

This will be my one and only comment on the matter, and I’m addressing it to Kizzie and DJ.

What I find frustrating with you two is your inability to admit when you choose the wrong side of an issue.

You constantly lecture me about offending people, and the tone of me and most “right wing” commentators. Well we’re angry about what we see happening to our country, our kids, and our way of life, and you should be too.

Even when we are clearly right, and our anger righteous, you just can’t bring yourselves to admit it.

You’ve bought about every one of the numerous lies about Trump, because of your personal dislike for him. But time and again when it’s proven false, that the media and Dems lied repeatedly, you never get around to admitting you were suckered yet again by lies and you wanting it to be true.

That’s why I mostly ignore you when you go into lecture mode, or “I’m offended” mode, or question my theology. To me, it sounds like a double standard.

I’m trying to argue and “offend” less. Seriously, I’ve been trying as I hope my staying out of it this weekend showed. But it’s frustrating when some people, even after the truth is exposed, refuse to see, or acknowledge the obvious. Be it, Russia, Jan6, the FBI, the R party Never-Trump stooges, or pretty much anything Trump related, you two have a blind spot.

We’ve got years more to come because I think Trump will be the candidate again. Not saying I want him to, I much prefer DeSantis at this point, largely because I know the same sort of behavior will be inevitable. A percentage of those we should be closely aligned with will once again act like they’re voting for a pastor and not a secular president. Their personal dislike for Trump will override their common sense and another Dem presidency will be the likely result.

And the evil that entails will continue, even further entrenched. The perversion, targeting of kids, Christians, abuse by the FBI of our rights, and a further erosion of our justice system, abortion on demand up until birth, all that and more becomes inevitable.

You have to see this too. I’m just having trouble seeing where you’re coming from sometimes. Are these things not more important to you than the personality of a man, 1 of only 2 choices, but whose policies you largely agree with, who in 4 years will be gone?

For those reasons alone, I will vote for anybody that wins the R nomination. No question. Because the alternative is evil, ungodly, and encourages the murder and molestation of children. They’re not hiding who they are. It’s time you start believing what their mouths and your eyes are showing you.

While we argue, they plot. Let’s get it together.

I’m the first to admit, I’m far from perfect, an acquired taste surely, and sometimes abrasive. You won’t hurt my feelings by being honest about your thoughts. I’m sure you’ll both have a response, or 10, but if I don’t respond, see above, I’m not ignoring you. I’m listening, which I’m told by people whose opinion I value, I need to do more of.

I will now return to mostly keeping quiet on the subject.

  4. Does he have a point?

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2023/05/27/stephen_miller_were_going_to_waste_millions_in_the_primaries_instead_of_harvesting_ballots_like_democrats.html

“Trump adviser Stephen Miller on Friday lamented the devastating cost the 2024 Republican primary race will have on the party while Democrats are prepared for the general election. Miller told FOX News host Jesse Watters that Republicans need to rally around Trump, the man that the deep state wants to imprison and finish this.

“The real tragedy here, I think a lot of people watching will agree with me on this is that we’re going to burn hundreds and millions of dollars here in a primary that we need to be spending, ballot harvesting,” Miller said. “In other words, the money was going to be wasted, trying to take down Donald Trump from all corners should instead be spent registering voters, going to low propensity households, developing a ballot harvesting map, hiring and paying canvassers all the things that the Left is going to do for month-after-month-after-month, while instead we’re playing get Trump. I think it’s sad. It’s really unfortunate.”

“What’s going to happen is come the convention time, when you’re going to have the Democrats who will have built a doubly triply quadruply effective operation, and Republicans will have bled themselves dry, running it yet another year of attack ads against Donald Trump,” Miller said.

“Let’s rally around the man that the Deep State has been coming after for seven years that they are trying to throw in jail for defending us, a man who fought for us so hard, they’re literally trying to incarcerate him,” Miller said. “Let’s rally around our man and let’s finish this fight. Let’s finish it.”

    —-

DeSantis and others have already spent millions going after Trump. Money that could be better spent elsewhere.

Rona and her Romney/McConnell cabal will spend like drunken sailors to get Trump and then not have the cash left to run a modern day campaign. It’s a new world now since Covid and all the early, mail in, ballot harvesting, and the like. They’re gonna go the way of the dinosaur if they don’t get it together.

And make no mistake that cabal I mentioned would be just fine with a Dem over Trump, and 4 more years of the status quo of knuckling under to Dems at every opportunity.

  5. And just think what it’s gonna cost for all of this charade. Include the top 3, and ditch the pretenders.

Note the establishment stooges didn’t have the frontrunner in attendance, and their reason why. It’s obvious they see the inevitable.

“The GOP 2024 Thunderdome Takes Shape in Iowa”

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2023/06/04/the_gop_2024_thunderdome_takes_shape_in_iowa_149312.html

“The first Thunderdome of the Republican 2024 primary election, where a crowded field will compete for a single nomination, may as well have been the Saturday cattle call inside the Animal Learning Center at the state fairground here.

Eight candidates accepted the invitation of Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst to speak at “Roast and Ride,” an annual fundraiser for veterans, where voters judge White House hopefuls over heaping plates of barbeque after a roaring motorcycle parade through town.

Each of the politicians made their pitch. And yet, in a contest that many will enter, but only one will win, none critiqued Donald Trump by name.

“They are making the case for themselves,” Ernst said when asked why the field seemed to sidestep the former president and current frontrunner, who notably skipped the event. The fourth highest-ranking Republican in the Senate, she serves as a sort of ambassador of Iowa and told reporters she didn’t find the silence “odd” because the field likely did “not want to give him a promotional opportunity.”

“Self-checkout machines now ask customers to tip: ‘emotional blackmail’”

    https://nypost.com/2023/05/15/self-checkout-machines-now-ask-customers-to-tip/

“Self-checkout machines want you to tip them for all that they do.

Businesses are starting to introduce new options for tipping at self-checkout machines, putting even more pressure on customers amid rising inflation costs.

Despite having zero interaction with employees during transactions, self-checkout machines at places such as coffee shops, bakeries, airports and sports stadiums are giving customers the option to leave the typical 20% tip, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

Business owners believe that the prompt for a tip can boost staff pay and increase gratuities — but customers are questioning where and to whom the extra cash is going, considering self-checkout is done, well, by yourself.

“They’re cutting labor costs by doing self-checkout. So what’s the point of asking for a tip? And where is it going?” Ishita Jamar, a senior at American University in Washington, DC, who has noticed more self-serve tip cues, told WSJ.

But tipping researchers claim this is a way for companies to put the responsibility of paying employees on the customer rather than increasing employee salaries themselves.

William Michael Lynn, a professor of consumer behavior and tip culture at Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration, told the outlet that businesses are “taking advantage of an opportunity.”

The self-checkout gratuity option is an example of “tip creep” — a phenomenon that prompts customers to leave higher tips in transactional situations.

Self-tipping is viewed by many customers as a way to guilt-trip the person into tipping on something when they typically wouldn’t.”

  8. Doctored evidence you say……?

    Jan6, a DC production….

A show trial requires a show.

“Democrat-led J6 panel added audio to silent security video for primetime hearings

J6 Unmasked: Silent Capitol Police security footage altered by adding audio from another source during a montage that aired at the select committee’s first primetime hearing last June.”

    https://justthenews.com/government/congress/jan-6-select-committee-added-audio-silent-capitol-police-security-footage

“The Democrat-led House Select Committee to Investigate Jan. 6 doctored a key piece of its evidence, adding audio to silent U.S. Capitol Police security footage used to create a dramatic video montage for the opening of its primetime hearings last summer, according to a Just the News review of the original raw footage and interviews.

In at least two instances identified by Just the News, the panel’s sizzle reel that aired live and on C-SPAN last June failed to identify that it had overdubbed audio from another, unidentified source onto the silent footage. Multiple current and former Capitol Police officials as well as key lawmakers and congressional aides confirmed that the closed-circuit cameras that captured the video do not record sound and that it was added afterwards.

A former spokesman for the Jan. 6 committee told Just the News that the panel was supposed to clearly mark any video that was dubbed with another audio source, and it did so on some occasions in the sizzle reel.

But Just the News identified two key pieces of Capitol Police closed circuit television (“CCTV”) footage — one from an inside angle showing the dramatic breach of a key entrance to the Capitol by rioters and the other an aerial view of the agitated crowd outside – from a camera system that Capitol Police officials confirmed did not have sound recording capabilities. Yet, the footage shown by the committee inexplicably included sound on the video montage they produced. That video is without any disclaimer showing the audio had been dubbed.”

They have the video at the link.

I was watching Meet the Press and just had to roll my eyes at that part of the announcement of Chuck Todd’s leaving. I wish they would find a replacement who is really interested in neutrality. Discussion is such a valuable tool, whether on here or watching others discuss. It’s always valuable to know the biases of the speakers, too.

  14. It was good that I was in the discussion last night because my friend who had promised to never bring up Trump again in our conversations was at it again this morning😃 Again I was told how badly he treated women in the past. So the policies of the Dem platform that lead to aborting all those girl babies up until death of a full term baby are not anything in comparison. God brought to mind those balancing scales, and I reminded her that God alone knows how the sins of Trump measure up against the sins of Biden. In my friend’s mind, only past sins matter . . . case closed . . . no reform of a sinner is ever enough. That explains a lot related to her reluctance to be a true follower of Jesus. But I don’t give up. In time she may have growth and better understanding. I guess she is still trying to ruffle my feathers, but I was better prepared for today’s ambush.

  15. AJ – re: “What I find frustrating with you two is your inability to admit when you choose the wrong side of an issue.” People have differing perspectives and views. Isn’t it possible that you who sometimes choose the wrong side of an issue? Or maybe both sides of an issue have valid points and perspectives to consider? I haven’t seen you admit when you were mistaken.

Yes, I am VERY upset about what is happening to our people. But I do not express that by putting down others or calling them names. Just because I do not express my own distress in an angry manner does not mean that I don’t feel that distress. One scripture that comes to mind is:

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

What lies about Trump have I “bought”? I never bought into that “Russia, Russia, Russia” situation that you often mention. As I have said before, during Trump’s administration, I often found myself defending him on others’ Facebook posts when they shared false information about him. I even shared a piece from Snopes that (believe it or not) listed many false stories about Trump and quotes taken out of context that were going around. And I was not one to post anti-Trump posts.

So no, I did not buy into those lies. You only assume I did because I did not like the guy. And you eventually labeled me a Never-Trumper although I never said that I agreed with going that far.

Believe it or not, AJ, I had decided to not bother commenting on any of that anymore. But your insinuating that DJ and I don’t stand for anything just seemed too uncharitable and insulting to ignore.

  16. Finally someone has a backbone in the R party.

WASHINGTON, June 5 (Reuters) – The Republican head of a U.S. House of Representatives panel said he will seek to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress over what he said was a failure to hand over information on President Joe Biden’s family dealings.

“We will now initiate contempt of Congress proceedings,” James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said in a statement posted on Twitter.

Comer said he was taking the action following a briefing given by FBI officials
