It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget to pray for The Gambia.

Psalm119:121-136
ע Ayin
121 I have done what is righteous and just;
do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Ensure your servant’s well-being;
do not let the arrogant oppress me.
123 My eyes fail, looking for your salvation,
looking for your righteous promise.
124 Deal with your servant according to your love
and teach me your decrees.
125 I am your servant; give me discernment
that I may understand your statutes.
126 It is time for you to act, Lord;
your law is being broken.
127 Because I love your commands
more than gold, more than pure gold,
128 and because I consider all your precepts right,
I hate every wrong path.
פ Pe
129 Your statutes are wonderful;
therefore I obey them.
130 The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.
131 I open my mouth and pant,
longing for your commands.
132 Turn to me and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love your name.
133 Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.
134 Redeem me from human oppression,
that I may obey your precepts.
135 Make your face shine on your servant
and teach me your decrees.
136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes,
for your law is not obeyed.
I am asking for prayer for my husband. He has a series of doctor’s appointments. Please pray he will be honest and wise in speaking with his doctor. Also, he refused to get the cataract surgery suggested to him by our optometrist and has now flunked his vision test for license renewal. I had finally talked him into the surgery (by giving him this exact scenario) but it may not be timely. Pray he learned his lesson, too, about not listening to those trying to help him! He is not a danger on the road, but it all has to be taken care of in a timely manner.

Kathaleena, I am sorry to hear about the loss of his driving license because I have been there and done that. I pray he can take care of it in a very quick manner and that all turns out well. Reseach and find the surgeon with the best track record. I will pray about the other, too. With Covid many people have neglected their former routine exams. I am one. Now I face this dreaded imaging exam on Monday. Art still needs kidney stone surgery. These are very tough times for so many people. I will be praying for y’all. I am in a battled with “the fears” every day. I have to keep focused on God. He is our only hope.

Prayer for husband and his dad. His dad is in to see the doc for his bladder cancer.
They did have a phone consult for long term care but sounds like it did not amount to much.

So many men can be so stubborn about not following doctors’ orders or advice. But it can not only end up getting them into trouble or difficulties, it can also ruin their health (or even lead to an early death).
Hubby would probably have seemed like a wimp to some men, because he was cautious about his health and physical safety, although not overly so. His motivation was so that he could keep on working to provide for his family.

Hey I listen….
Mostly….
Now anyway….
My A1C is down to 5.6, I dropped 50lbs, eat better, and take my medications as directed.
I’m a good boy!
Now…. mostly…. 🙂
I see my regular doc tomorrow for my semi-annual check up and my 4th cancer treatment is Friday. 2 more after that and then I’m done with invasive things until the scopy last week of August. I’m pretty happy about the nearly 2 months of no procedures.

And I’m praying for the requests above too.

Wow, AJ! Congrats to you on the A1C. You are at the top of normal range. You have done a great job losing 50 lbs.

I am in Boulder. Pip is in surgery and I do not trust this clinic. After I dropped her off I spoke with the doc on the phone…he did not come out to see me while I was there. He said his X-rays show she will need surgery on her other leg as well. Half hour later they called and the bill is over the top end of their estimate. And an email sent to get my signature for anesthesia and a dnr or resuscitate…if her heart stops they will do that for an additional 2500.00!!! We will not be bringing her back for aftercare…I will go to my vet! 🙁 He came highly recommended by the specialist in the Springs!

Praying, all.
The baby robins all appear to be doing well, thanks for the prayers. And the cat-proof structure for the nest is doing its job; cat decided to try to leap toward the nest again, but the nest is higher up than before, and almost totally hidden, so she was rudely thwarted.
Cat has been banned from the outdoors for the time being and isn’t always fond of house quarantine.

Pip didn’t get into surgery until later than what we were told. She is now recovering with IV in place and the doctor says she did amazingly well. He said he saw more of stretching of the ACL and not fraying of a tear. My mister is hoping he did surgery on the correct leg! 😳 I get to pick her up in the morning around 10….I plan to be there at 9!! 😊

Janice, he hasn’t actually lost his license. It just isn’t being renewed for the time being. The doctor who will do the surgery is very highly qualified and we know dozens of people who have had successful surgery done by her. Hopefully his will be successful too. Hopefully, he will have learned his lesson, too, but that is another matter. 😉

My granddaughter has a classmate whose great-grandmother has dementia and has been missing for 15 days. The classmate’s mom works at the school also. Please pray for this poor woman to be found. The family is so distraught as you can well imagine,
