Prayer Requests 3-21-22

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 53

The fool says in his heart,
    “There is no God.”
   They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
    there is no one who does good.

God looks down from heaven
    on all mankind
   to see if there are any who understand,
    any who seek God.
Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt;
    there is no one who does good,
    not even one.

Do all these evildoers know nothing?

   They devour my people as though eating bread;
    they never call on God.
But there they are, overwhelmed with dread,
    where there was nothing to dread.
   God scattered the bones of those who attacked you;
    you put them to shame, for God despised them.

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
    When God restores his people,
    let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

  1. Heavenly Father,
    I lift AJ up for a blessing this morning. Please calm any worries he has. Help him to know whatever he hears that You already know and have a good plan to work things out for him. Please ease any anxiety that Cheryl may feel, too. Please draw AJ and Cheryl closer together as they live out their marriage vows, “in sickness and in health.” I know others are praying on this alongside me. Thank You, God for how You are there with AJ today and being his foundation no matter what. Thank You that You have arranged for us all to be prayer partners here through AJ’s availability to do a good kingdom oriented work. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen

  2. Thanks for prayer for our situation. I agree with mumsee on all the reasons for the mentally ill to go off their meds. My husband is suspecting a well-meaning pastor and I have suggested he actually talk to the man. He does know him, since they worked at the same place before the pastor retired from that job. Certainly, there are voices (in relative’s head) in the mix. At any rate, our relative did call my husband from the hospital, so he seems to be getting help there.

    It was good in some ways that forcing people into hospitals etc. for treatment was made more difficult. OTOH, it has left more people on the streets and all the horror that can inflict on them. We are actually very blessed to have a strong mental health advocate community and facilities where we live. Not all are so blessed. Prayers of thanksgiving for that.

  3. Our relative only had to stay a few hours at the hospital. He is back home. Still fighting voices but put on a bible tape with scripture and then music and is doing better. Thanks for prayer.
