Prayer Requests 12-16-20

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 119:97-112

מ Mem

97 Oh, how I love your law!
    I meditate on it all day long.
98 Your commands are always with me
    and make me wiser than my enemies.
99 I have more insight than all my teachers,
    for I meditate on your statutes.
100 I have more understanding than the elders,
    for I obey your precepts.
101 I have kept my feet from every evil path
    so that I might obey your word.
102 I have not departed from your laws,
    for you yourself have taught me.
103 How sweet are your words to my taste,
    sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 I gain understanding from your precepts;
    therefore I hate every wrong path.

נ Nun

105 Your word is a lamp for my feet,
    a light on my path.
106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it,
    that I will follow your righteous laws.
107 I have suffered much;
    preserve my life, Lord, according to your word.
108 Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,
    and teach me your laws.
109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands,
    I will not forget your law.
110 The wicked have set a snare for me,
    but I have not strayed from your precepts.
111 Your statutes are my heritage forever;
    they are the joy of my heart.
112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees
    to the very end.

  1. Prayer for daughter and son in law. We are all fairly certain she is bipolar. Something we have been concerned about for years but it seems to have become much more obvious since pregnancy. I believe she will be amenable to treatment as we have discussed it in the past. Her bio mom is and her brother who killed himself probably was.

    Yesterday was her court hearing. She plead guilty as expected. One hundred seventy eight days in jail if she does not finish probation which includes a mental health evaluation.

  5. Mumsee I was awakened early to pray for daughter…He knows…..and we continue to pray for you all….
    Janice I don’t blame her for not wanting to stay in the hospital…hoping she can get herself home and have the testing done over time…

  6. She is staying there for now. I think it is in the observation area maybe. They keep people there for less than 24 hours so they do not charge for a full day at the hospital. I was in there once when Wesley was in high school. I had passed out at church during a service. I had some tests and nothing was found. I may have been dehydrated.

  7. We are having a snowstorm tonight into tomorrow that will give us possibly over a foot of snow. It is expected to dump most of that on us overnight and into the early morning hours. Nightingale has to be at work tomorrow by 7am. Please pray for safe travelling for her. Thank you.

  8. My friend Shirley remains hospitalized, I tried calling her room today but phone wasn’t answered and it was disconnected after several rings. I’ll try again tomorrow.

    The pastor of our sister church has tested positive for Covid and has all the symptoms; the outdoor, in-person services look like they’ll be suspended for at least a couple weeks, which is wise.

    Praying no other cases show up.
