It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajissun and the folks in The Gambia.
Anyone else?
Psalm 108
A song. A psalm of David.
1 My heart, O God, is steadfast;
I will sing and make music with all my soul.
2 Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
3 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
6 Save us and help us with your right hand,
that those you love may be delivered.
7 God has spoken from his sanctuary:
“In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine;
Ephraim is my helmet,
Judah is my scepter.
9 Moab is my washbasin,
on Edom I toss my sandal;
over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
10 Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?
11 Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?
12 Give us aid against the enemy,
for human help is worthless.
13 With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.
Continued prayer for Carol, I spoke to her briefly over the weekend, she’s still hospitalized and not feeling well, they’re still going through tests (I also spoke with the nurse). Her cell is turned off and I can tell she’s not feeling well as she’s simply no longer calling; her voicemail is full, texts get no response. I’ll make another call to the nurse today after work and see if they can put her on the mobile phone if she’s up to talking.
Also pray for my friend Shirley who recently was sent home from rehab (for COPD issues). A couple years ago she had a Stage 1 breast cancer that was successfully treated with surgery and radiation, oncologist told her it was the kind that rarely spreads. But scans taken in the rehab have shown 2 spots — one on a lung, another on her liver — and she says her oncologist tells her he’s concerned they indicate a spread from the original breast cancer. She’s clearly shaken and I hated hearing that from her last night as well.
Carol’s a believer; Shirley, I believe, needs prayer for spiritual rebirth along with healing and/or good followup test results which should come in a week or two, sometime in December she says.

Praying for both, DJ, and for you as you lend a supportive hand from the love of Christ.
Prayer for daughter and son in law and husband and children. Son in law has decided to cut ties with alcohol and caffeine. Good call considering he has heart issues. They have received the two books I sent them: Cherish and Sacred Marriage, both by Gary Thomas. One is how to love your spouse and the other is why to love your spouse. How is by cherishing each other, why is because God tells us to and it will cause us to become more like Him.

Doctor didn’t find anything per se with daughter-in-law last night. Ran tests, gave her a med to calm and relax the issue, and she’s okay today. Thanks for prayers.
