“Fake News! Democrats Are Buying Online Local News to Win in 2020”
“Democrats are trying to buy their way to a presidential victory in 2020 on Facebook and Google.
Priorities USA, a Democratic SuperPAC, announced that it was launching an advertising campaign that would repackage local news into Democratic propaganda, in an attempt to assist the DNC with its 2020 presidential campaign. The SuperPAC will funnel at least $1 million a month online in key swing states like Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. An “in-house ads team” will write “greater volumes of content” and post it on Facebook and Google.
The plan overall will cost the PAC $100 million and will focus on election propaganda disguised as local news. It appears to take a similar approach to billionaire Reid Hoffman’s disinformation campaigns.
Priorities USA chairman Guy Cecil tried to put a positive spin on it, telling Politico that “the point we’ve made is that Americans are experiencing Donald Trump’s economy in a way that is fundamentally different from the headlines.”
However, even the most biased and liberal of news outlets agree: President Trump’s economy is one of the strongest economies the nation has ever had. The U.S. employment market added 224,000 jobs in May, while the unemployment rate is at 3.3 percent.
Priorities USA plans on flipping this narrative by taking isolated local incidents of hardship and using it to criticize President Trump’s economic strategies. The organization’s Communication Director Josh Schwerin told Vice News that “This should be covered by local news, but local news is dying.” He said he hopes that by creating propaganda and making it look like local news, “we can help fill that hole a bit.”
“Evidence That Trump’s ‘Remain In Mexico’ Policy Is Working”
“Yesterday the Texas Tribune posted a story offering evidence that Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy, which sends would-be migrants back to Mexico to await their immigration court dates is having its intended effect. Many migrants who came for economic reasons, some believing that having a child with them would give them a quick pass into America, are becoming discouraged and going home.”
The official name for the “remain in Mexico” initiative is Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), an ironic turn of phrase for migrants who feel anything but protected in Mexico. Launched in January in California, the initiative has since spread across the border all the way to deep South Texas. Activists have sued to stop it, but MPP has survived so far as those legal challenges work their way through the courts.
Though thousands of migrants have gone back to Mexico under MPP (more than 10,000 to Juarez alone), requests to both U.S. and Mexican immigration authorities for the latest figures and comment about the program’s impact were not returned as of Friday morning.
One potential sign that many are giving up: a government official in Washington familiar with the MPP initiative said an estimated 40 percent of the migrants returned to Juarez, Mexico, from El Paso did not show up for their initial court hearings. The official did not have permission to comment on the record and spoke on condition of anonymity.
A migration expert from UT Austin tells the Tribune, “There is a big difference between waiting in Boston for your case and waiting in Mexicali or Monterrey.” Mexico is offering migrants the choice of waiting around for their court dates in the rough towns just south of the border or a free bus ride farther south. Many are choosing the bus, having realized that their attempts to game the system aren’t working out as planned:
“The ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee is fed up with Congressional inactivity on dealing with the crisis on the southern border. During a forum held on family separation at the border Thursday, Rep. Doug Collins abruptly interrupted his own opening statement to get a few things off his chest.
Titled “Oversight of Family Separation and U.S. Customs and Border Protection,” the forum was used by Democrats to bring attention to the enforcement of current law on separating children and adults on the border when they are apprehended for crossing the border illegally. After beginning his statement, Collins stopped and said he wouldn’t continue to read his prepared remarks. He called the forum “dehumanizing”, not because of the enforcement of the policy toward the detained individuals but because of the inaction of Congress. Instead of another hearing, or “forum” in this case, Collins said that legislation should be passed.
He’s not wrong. As he began to rattle off the numbers of those illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexican border, it was as though he experienced a clarifying moment. It is absurd to continue to hold hearings one after the other and listen to the same witnesses and experts, all the while producing absolutely no legislation to ease the chaos. It is the job of Congress to work out their policy differences and act. Put up a bill.”

Here’s what Lucif — I mean, Trump — had to say:
“Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming[s’] District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place.”

Saw it live and can’t stop crying. This is finally the breaking point. It’s not just migrants in cages. He hates Americans. 🆘 💔
“American Movie Studios Are Wrong to Appease Chinese Censors”
“And it’s not the first time Hollywood has bowed to an authoritarian foreign power.
China is now the big player in global cinema. “The Chinese film market is going to be the largest film market in short order,” Charles Rivkin, the new chairman of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), said on a conference call with reporters. “They’re building about 25 screens a day.” Last year, more movie tickets were sold in China than in North America.
American studios are desperate to capitalize on this growth by overturning the Chinese government’s edict that a maximum of only 34 American films a year can play on Chinese big screens. At the same time, they want to make sure that the tariff war between the U.S. and China doesn’t shrink their celluloid profits.
To stay on Beijing’s good side, U.S. filmmakers are willing to kowtow to China’s authoritarian regime, and there seems no limit to their willingness to acquiesce.
Take Top Gun: Maverick, a long-awaited sequel to the 1986 classic action film that made Tom Cruise a superstar. After the sequel’s trailer was unveiled at San Diego’s ComicCon last week, alert fans noted that the iconic leather flight jacket worn by Cruise’s character in the original film had been altered. All of the patches from the original film were there except for flags representing Chinese adversaries Japan and the Republic of China (Taiwan). Those flags were missing.
The culprits were soon pretty obvious. The Hollywood Reporter found that the Chinese company Tencent is co-financing the sequel. Co-producing the film along with Paramount Pictures is Skydance, which is partially owned by Tencent.
“Top Gun is an American classic, and it’s incredibly disappointing to see Hollywood elites appease the Chinese Communist Party,” Senator Ted Cruz of Texas lamented to the Washington Free Beacon. “The Party uses China’s economy to silence dissent against its brutal repression and to erode the sovereignty of American allies like Taiwan. Hollywood is afraid to stand up for free speech and is enabling the Party’s campaign against Taiwan.”
“BALTIMORE BURNING: IT’S NOT A MATTER OF MONEY. WE TRIED THAT”
“President Barack Obama says “massive investments in urban communities” could “make a difference right now.” Representative Elijah Cummings, who represents Maryland in Congress, says, “We have to invest in our cities and our children.” And House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, who also represents the state, says, “But we’re going to have to as a country invest if we’re going to have the kinds of communities we want.”
But the idea that we haven’t been “investing” in Baltimore is nonsense.
Federal and state money has been pouring into the city for decades. From fiscal years 2003 to 2013 (the last year for which these reports are available), Baltimore received at least $2.4 billion in federal assistance and another $1.8 billion in state aid. The city also received roughly $1.8 billion in federal stimulus money, of which more than $1.4 billion has been spent so far. And this doesn’t count the billions of dollars received directly by the people who live in Baltimore through various social welfare programs.
Yet nearly a quarter of the people in the city still live in poverty, 65 percent above the national level. We’ve clearly been throwing a lot of money at poverty in Baltimore without much result.
Part of the problem, unsurprisingly, is that the city does not make very good use of the money it receives.”
Dare to push back on the media’s leftist narrative? Prepare to be slandered.
So I am receiving calls that reporters are working on a hit piece on me. It is truly disappointing. Residents asked if I could help get the trash removed. I filmed it, posted it. You would think people would be upset that their brothers & sisters are living in those conditions.
Stressful 24 hours. I've received countless emails, calls & text claiming my "hit piece" is on the way. If this is the Left's attempt to silence me, it only makes me want to fight harder for what is right. Intimidating a black woman just for speaking out? Actual racism.
Re the Trump vs Baltimore story, it needs to be said that he was responding to Cumming’s who called him out on the conditions of migrant children. You take on Trump, you deserve what you get. And let it be noted that Trump has been in office less than three years while migrant housing has been around for a very long time, so not his doing. OTOH, Cummings has been in political office for, I believe, 36 years. Do the math.
I’ve told you about this particular Palestinian terrorist family before. They stage propaganda for Hamas and the PA using children in staged scenes. Now they’re bringing their child exploitation show to Congress, invited by Jew hating anti-Semites like Rashida Tlaib, and to push the Jew hating BDS movement, of course.
“Rewarding Palestinian child exploitation: Janna Jihad goes to Congress
13-year-old Janna Jihad’s US tour, organized by anti-Israel extremists including American Muslims for Palestine and Code Pink, is just the latest example of Tamimi Clan children being exploited for propaganda purposes”
“While the 18th anniversary of the Sbarro pizzeria suicide bombing in Jerusalem on August 9 is approaching, Janna Jihad, a young relative of the terrorist Ahlam Tamimi who planned and helped perpetrate the massacre, is on a US speaking tour.
Janna Jihad is only 13, but she has already been groomed for years by the Tamimis to succeed her cousin Ahed Tamimi as the youthful, innocent face tasked with hiding the clan’s murderous hatred of Israel.
Janna Jihad 2019 U.S. Tour
Janna Jihad’s current PR tour in the US is apparently sponsored by the South African organization Shamsaan that seems devoted to promoting the Tamimi child stars (more on Shamsaan below); support for organizing and hosting events has also been provided by the far-left fringe group Code Pink and the extremist group American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) as well as other anti-Israel organizations like the misleadingly named Jewish Voice for Peace.
Events held so far included an appearance with the popular anti-Israel activist Marc Lamont Hill, a talk at Busboys and Poets in Washington, D.C., and a “workshop” with children at the Palestinian American Community Center in Clifton, NJ.”
———–
“Considerably more noteworthy than these events is the fact that Amnesty International – which has long insisted on ignoring the Tamimis’ involvement in terrorism – cynically joined the radical organizations and individuals that exploit the newest Tamimi child star and boasted of bringing Janna Jihad to meetings with “dozens of members of #congress.” Janna Jihad herself proudly advertised a meeting with Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on Twitter.
Extremist American Muslims for Palestine
AMP organized a “Congressional Briefing on Israeli Treatment of US Citizens” on July 24, where Janna Jihad was a ‘featured speaker’.
A 13-year-old girl can of course not be held responsible for the organizations that exploit her, but Rashida Tlaib, who attended AMP’s “Congressional Briefing” to address the audience, is presumably familiar with the group’s odious record and agenda.”
Had a very nice visit with our Ethiopian son this past weekend. At one point I asked him if blacks could be racist. After he finished laughing, he said yes, extremely so.
Bernie Sanders visited Rep. Elijah Cummings district in 2015. He was shocked by what he saw.
"You would think that you were in a third world country," Sanders said. "We're talking about a community in which there are hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable." pic.twitter.com/nqlCJS34RM
While I have been fighting to lift the people of Baltimore and elsewhere out of poverty with good paying jobs, housing and health care, he has been attacking workers and the poor. https://t.co/7N0K4GQgEO
The reasoning behind saying that blacks or other minorities cannot be racist is that the word infers some power structure to it (at least that’s what I’ve read). So with that implication, minorities can never be racist. (Don’t shoot me. I’m just the messenger. I don’t know if it always had that implication or not.)
But another perfectly good word, that we used to use instead of “racist”, is “prejudiced”. And I would think that even by liberal standards, we can say that minorities can indeed by prejudiced against whites or other minorities.
(When I was young, and didn’t know how it was actually spelled, I spelled it “prejusticed”. 🙂 )
We can’t use “prejudiced” rather than “racist”.
The word “Prejudice” has a meaning. It means you have prejudged someone/something.
“Racist” is an epithet. It has no meaning except you are a bad guy.
Nobody has to explain what he means by “racist”.
Turning Point USA sent in a man to check out Baltimore, and hear from residents.
I am in Baltimore. Rep. Elijah Cummings’ district. I spent all day speaking with dozens of people who live in Rep. Cummings’ district. Some have lived here +60 years. I learned so much. Before continuing, ask yourself: Do you want to know the truth?
First off, Rep. Cummings has represented this district for +20 years. Everyone I spoke with knew him & was aware that he was beefing with @realDonaldTrump. I did not ask about politics – I asked about living conditions in this district. That is all. Here is what they said… pic.twitter.com/ZJQTpaSRVp
– *Every* person I spoke with *confirmed* that the district was rat infested – This man told me that rats the “size of cats” run through his house regularly – One woman told me rats have “taken over” her neighborhood – One called it a "plague of rats" pic.twitter.com/Sccxl2qRjh
One of Rep. Elijah Cummings’ constituents went inside their home and returned with this flyer from the city begging them to help with the rat infestation. The flyer said that the trash & "animal feces" in the neighborhood attract the rats. The flyer was delivered *this week* pic.twitter.com/G5bGUCUJoc
Looks like Trump was dead on accurate. And keep in mind folks, the same can be said about many inner cities oppressed by decades of one party Democrat rule. They own this.
On trash in Rep. Cummings’ district:
– There is trash everywhere – Filth & garbage piled up high in the street – One building had a big sign that begged ‘DO NOT PUT TRASH HERE’ – below the signs were piles of rotting refuse – Constituents blamed the trash for the rat infestation pic.twitter.com/UpIqJSCWsC
– Every constituent said that murders, shootings, drugs run rampant. – Many told me they were scared & do not go outside after dark. – One elderly man, “It did not used to be this way. Now we kill each other. Why? Because no one has a job." pic.twitter.com/h221SnGXpd
One home had a 30 foot tree growing from the basement right through the roof. You could see it from the street. How long has this home been abandoned for a tree to take over the entire house and add *another* story?
Parts of Rep. Cummings’ district look like a foreign war zone. Many homes are so decrepit, they are just crumbling to pieces. Every block I walked had a home with no roof. Some blocks have multiple homes that look like they had been through the battle of Leningrad. pic.twitter.com/rLTtpqfitV
I want to end with this: Every person I spoke with in @RepCummings district was deeply kind to my crew & me. Wonderful, beautiful people. Here is what they all had in common: They feel abandoned by their politicians. With a district like this – can you really blame them? pic.twitter.com/aLexSb8zQo
“Looks like Trump was dead on accurate. And keep in mind folks, the same can be said about many inner cities oppressed by decades of one party Democrat rule. They own this.”
“So who is right? A little research indicates that where there are Democrats, there are rats; where there are rats, there are Democrats. And yes, of course, there are rats doing their ratty thing around Republicans — but not as many. According to Orkin, the pest control (a very nice way of saying killing unwanted pests such as…well, rats) company, the most rat-infested localities in the U.S. are controlled by Democrats. Hmmm.
For the third consecutive ranking, Chicago takes the top spot.

CNN’s Jeff Zucker once feted Kamala Harris. Will that help or hurt in 2020?

CNN’s president, a media titan at the helm of a global news organization intensely covering the 2020 presidential election, has a longstanding personal rule against supporting politicians.
He’s broken it once — for Kamala Harris when she ran to become the first woman of color to hold the office of California attorney general a decade ago. …
… Zucker made clear his backing of a political figure such as Harris was not something he’d ever indulged in before. “This is in fact, the first time I’ve ever done one of these, and that’s because I have a very, very strict policy because of my job. I’ve taken a position that I completely stay out of supporting candidates of any party and try to stay out of politics entirely,” he said. …

And now Bernie can explain why Trump is wrong, and a racist for saying the truth, but he wasn’t when he said it.

Well, we should bring “prejudiced” back. (The word, not the attitude. 🙂 )

We can’t do that Karen. Then you would have to know what you’re talking about.

Looks like Trump was dead on accurate. And keep in mind folks, the same can be said about many inner cities oppressed by decades of one party Democrat rule. They own this.

How long has this tree been growing in Baltimore?
For as long as Cummings has “represented” it.

Indeed, the top spot on the list, Chicago, is the former home of the top Democrat, former president Barack Hussein Obama (D). Prior to being elected president, Obama represented the city — including the rats — in the Illinois state Legislature and then the U.S. Senate.”

CNN’s Jeff Zucker once feted Kamala Harris. Will that help or hurt in 2020?
BY DAVID CATANESE
