Anyone have something to share?
1 Rescue me, Lord, from evildoers;
protect me from the violent,
2 who devise evil plans in their hearts
and stir up war every day.
3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s;
the poison of vipers is on their lips.
4 Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
protect me from the violent,
who devise ways to trip my feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for me;
they have spread out the cords of their net
and have set traps for me along my path.
6 I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”
Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.
7 Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer,
you shield my head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord;
do not let their plans succeed.
9 Those who surround me proudly rear their heads;
may the mischief of their lips engulf them.
10 May burning coals fall on them;
may they be thrown into the fire,
into miry pits, never to rise.
11 May slanderers not be established in the land;
may disaster hunt down the violent.
12 I know that the Lord secures justice for the poor
and upholds the cause of the needy.
13 Surely the righteous will praise your name,
and the upright will live in your presence.
We’re under severe weather watches in our area — thunderstorms, flooding — and the county just north of us has a tornado warning, in the town where one of my piano students lives.
3rd Arrow is at work right now, and 4th Arrow works later this morning. Prayers for their safety on the road and at work. I don’t believe there’s a basement where they could go in the event of a tornado in our county.
Thanks.

Peter Pan is in the car with husband. He neglected to buy all the stuff though he got some. But they might not let him attend if he did not get the required gear. Husband is taking him to Lewiston to finish the purchasing. I would be giddy with delight, but I am dealing with seventeen year old daughter, who is not doing well.
Prayer for patience and the love of Christ.

Thanks for the prayers. We had a third weather alert in place for a while — an added severe thunderstorm warning until 10:30. By the time 3rd Arrow was done at work at 10:30 and 4th Arrow had to leave for work by 10:40 (they met each other on the road), the worst of it was over, the weather was calm, and now the sun is even shining. 🙂
The weather watches are in effect until 7pm tonight, and now everybody is gone from home except me. (I’m home because of congestion I woke up with.) Another round of severe weather is predicted for this afternoon or evening before the watch ends, so I’d be thankful for more prayers for safety for my family members in their journeys and locations today. Thanks.

There seems to be some glitch with the online banking record of my home loan. Unfortunately, I find out about it on a Saturday when I can’t really do anything about it. I am planning on checking again on Monday, to see if it straightens out by then. Please pray that it will. Thanks.

Boy is feeling poorly today. He has slept, on and off, for most of the day. He says his throat is sore (although he says that from time to time when he is fine) and he had a headache.
I wonder if this is heat-related, with the excessive heat we’re having. Even though he has been in air conditioning since last night, he played outside with his friend Gabby for a while last evening. They were playing with water to keep cool, and had plenty of water to drink, but maybe it was bad for him anyway. (He seemed perfectly fine at the time, and when he came in later.)

Oops. I didn’t finish my request.
He also hasn’t wanted to eat anything today, which is very unusual for him, but I have had him drinking.
Tomorrow starts a week-long Boy Scout Day Camp that both he and Nightingale will be attending. Please pray that the sleep he is getting today (and hopefully tonight, too) will refresh and heal his body, and he will be ready to go with his mom tomorrow. (Today is the last day of this heat wave, so tomorrow will be a lot better weather-wise.) Thank you.
