Prayer Requests 6-6-19

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 119:25-32

ד Daleth

25 I am laid low in the dust;
    preserve my life according to your word.
26 I gave an account of my ways and you answered me;
    teach me your decrees.
27 Cause me to understand the way of your precepts,
    that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.
28 My soul is weary with sorrow;
    strengthen me according to your word.
29 Keep me from deceitful ways;
    be gracious to me and teach me your law.
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
    I have set my heart on your laws.
31 I hold fast to your statutes, Lord;
    do not let me be put to shame.
32 I run in the path of your commands,
    for you have broadened my understanding.

  1. I am feeling weary lately. I need a surge of energy to keep up the good fight. I am enjoying relationships at church more but it still feels like we are a boat with too many leaks. Going to the ladies’ meeting yesterday was enlightening as to how the older people are feeling. Also, Karen continues to overdo and her heart failure suffers. It is painful too watch. They refuse to get help. I am so frustrated by their situation.

    That was a plea for prayer for resolution to long going problems that feel overwhelming.

  2. PTL, I saw little Ellie last night and she’s finally starting to fatten up a little. She was awake and looking around and all I could feel was relief. A normal baby is what she is. Thanks be to God.

    Big sisters are delighted to be home for the summer and are real helps.

    Mom is still hurting and the potential for surgery still looms, but please pray for complete healing for her.

  3. Janice – I am so sorry about how you are feeling. It is often perplexing why God brings or allows certain circumstances into our lives. I am still perplexed over why Hubby had to die so “young”, but I choose to trust God and believe He had His reasons, which I may never know.

    I don’t pretend to know God’s mind, but it could be that He allowed this time of your not being able to drive to break Karen’s reliance on you, in order to do a work in her and her family. But again, I don’t know. That is merely a speculation, and even if correct, probably not the whole story.
