It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 98
1 Sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.
2 The Lord has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
3 He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.
4 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the Lord, the King.
7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.
Everything going remarkably well here. Continued prayer encouraged.
One finger typing here, with baby on left arm. I slept through the night lst night, no idea if he did. Did not get to sleep as early as hoped as Okinawa daughter needed to talk. She is doing well but her worker is thinking she is bipolar. Something she has resisted as her bio mom is that.
Maybe pregnant, currently home daughter seems to be totally out of touch with realit though has admitted she was never a college student. She continues with outrageous stores.
Their younger brother was also home this week. He has hooked up with “a nice Mormon girl”.
Ethiopian son is home. Turns out he got an early general discharge for one party too many.
Lots to pray for. Take your pick.

Lake Tanganyika (affectionately known as Lake T) is the longest freshwater lake in the world. The lake is surrounded by four countries (Zambia, Burundi, DR Congo and Tanzania), with approximately 10 million people living along its borders. The people groups are highly mixed (tribal intermarriage), which contributes to a unique culture linked by fishing.
The Lake T area is known for its spiritual darkness, with most people strongly involved with traditional African spirituality. In Mpulungu, a main town in northern Zambia, Muslims are trying to build a mosque that seats 6000+ people. If successful, this will be one of the biggest mosques in the central part of Africa. Key spiritual barriers for the Gospel include a strong belief in witchcraft and ancestral worship, the rapid growth of Islam, and sexual immorality.
Please pray…
Pray for people in these fishing communities around Lake T to encounter the power of God. He wants to set them free, so they no longer need to live in fear of evil spirits. Pray for true transformation from the inside out.
Pray for the truth to take root, so the people will not be deceived by false teaching and Islam.
Pray against the stronghold of sexual immorality, which has both cultural and spiritual roots.
Pray for local churches to be passionate about holiness and avoid syncretism. Pray that they see the urgency to carry the Gospel to other communities.

All of it, Mumsee.
The focus today for the 30 days of prayer for Muslims is the Rohingya refugees, specifically those in Malaysia. This MSF (Doctors Without Borders) gives a picture of the struggles for Rohingya refugees: https://www.msf.org/rohingya-story-malaysia-we-are-always-under-threat-being-arrested. The Ronhingya are a specific ethnic group, primarily Muslim, from Myanmar (Burma). Christians may be more familiar with the plight of the primarily Christian Karen in Myanmar through the work of the Free Burma Rangers. The Rohingya, like the Karen, have been the target of repeated ethnic cleansing violence from the Buddhist majority in Myanmar, and social media, including FB, is used to spread scurrilous rumours about the Rohingya in order to stir up outrage and violence against them. Many Rohingya have fled Myanmar to Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Thailand, and frequently fall victim to human traffickers. The crossing to the island nation of Malaysia necessitates a dangerous boat journey and Malaysia, although a majority Muslim country, has not welcomed the Rohingya, who are in the perilous position of being stateless. Pray that they would be ministered to by Christians in Malaysia and become citizens of Christ’s kingdom.

Prayers, all above.
Requesting prayer for traveling mercies. 6th Arrow and I are leaving within the hour to go to 1st Arrow’s today, and on from there to the piano competition tomorrow, then back home after that for a rehearsal at church tomorrow evening, preparing to play in a string quartet at Sunday morning services. The timing of the trip back home tomorrow may be a little tight, depending on how daughter does in the competition. (We’d be leaving several hours later if she is winner or runner-up in her division, and we’d have approximately 3 hours between leaving at that time, and getting to my rehearsal 2 1/2 hours away.)
Pray for good weather, travel without vehicle issues, and God’s will to be done with regards to daughter’s competition.
Thanks.
