Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,

Please pray for progressive Christian writer Rachel Held Evans–two weeks in an induced coma after a severe allergic reaction to meds she received because of an infection.
Rachel is in her mid-30s with children 1 and 3. She and her husband are building a house in Tennessee. I’ve had a number of pleasant exchanges with her over the years through our literary agency.
May God’s will be done. This is a tragedy in many different ways.

I just want to say here that I am grateful to God for so much. I have my grief, and certain heartaches (as do we all), but even so, I can see how God has been so good to me in the midst of it all. I thank Him frequently.
It has always struck me how in expressing our gratitude to God, the feeling of blessing grows even deeper.

Praying for Mumsee and Mike and the readjustment to parenting at both ends of the age spectrum. Do you have a positive pregnancy test yet?
Requesting prayers for me as I have a lab final this afternoon. I just need to remember the names, and how to spell all of the components of the cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, lymphatic, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. I know them fairly well, but sometimes have a brain fart and can’t bring forth the proper term.

Nope, I told her to take this week as a recovery week. I have her out working in the gardens and flower beds several hours a day. She is looking much healthier. When husband gets home we will start looking into things in more depth. We will set up a medical appt when he can be here to watch children and drive us if necessary. We will look more into her financial pit and set up a budget with her. Her only source of money will be us for a while as she can’t drive. We will pay her for her yard work and such. But it will mostly go toward her bills, with a bit set aside for savings so she can eventually get a car. Wisdom. Always wisdom.

Yes, He does.
I often think of something I want to pray about while in the middle of praying for something else, and think I will get to it when I finish with the current subject. Then, when I finish that part of my prayer, I realize that I cannot remember what it was I wanted to also pray about. So I say to God that I know He heard the concern on my heart, even if I can’t remember it, and ask Him to move in the situation of the forgotten prayer.

Test is done. Forgot the word glomerulus and think i mixed up afferent and efferent arterioles. I’m pretty sure i still got an A on the test. Even if i did poorly on it, i will still end up with an A in the class. There were 200 questions and i missed perhaps 10. Thanks for the prayers.
