Hi all. This is 6, with some prayer requests and a praise.
Praise to God for bringing me a new piano student. An 8-year-old girl who is quite excited to be starting piano lessons this Monday. 🙂
Two prayer requests:
1. For my best friend K. Her elbow, which she broke in a fall on the ice in January, is not healing well. She’s still in pain, and swelling (though it’s gone down some) continues to be an issue. Also, her husband retired this year, and there are some marital challenges present as they both adjust to his being home all day (she doesn’t work outside the home). She started crying when she shared with me last week that the adjustment has been hard so far.
2. For my sister-in-law (hubby’s youngest sibling). She’s had cancer for over a year, but she kept it a secret from all but a very few people until last weekend. She is very angry with one or a few of the people she told early on who advised her to avoid chemo, and “go natural” in fighting the cancer. She’s lost a huge amount of weight and looks terrible and doesn’t want to talk about her cancer, but it appears to be advanced. She just started chemo. She’s living apart from her husband (we don’t know if they’re separated or divorced — he’s not been in the picture for a while. Also she’s not a believer.) Please pray.
