Prayer Requests 1-15-19

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 138

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
    before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
I will bow down toward your holy temple
    and will praise your name
    for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
   for you have so exalted your solemn decree
    that it surpasses your fame.
When I called, you answered me;
    you greatly emboldened me.

May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord,
    when they hear what you have decreed.
May they sing of the ways of the Lord,
    for the glory of the Lord is great.

Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
    though lofty, he sees them from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
    you preserve my life.
   You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
    with your right hand you save me.
The Lord will vindicate me;
    your love, Lord, endures forever—
    do not abandon the works of your hands.

  1. Busy day today, butchering chickens with friends and then more coming to dinner (not chicken). Prayer and praise for a glorious day of fellowship working and eating with fellow believers. May God be pleased with our fellowship.

  2. Amen, Mumsee.

    Praising God for His hand of protection on 3rd Arrow this morning. She slid off an icy road on her way to work, after spinning in the roadway (including into the opposite direction’s lane). There were no other cars on the road, fortunately. She usually has to be to work by 8:00 a.m., a very busy time on that county highway, but today she didn’t have to work until 9:00, so the traffic was down to almost nothing at that point.

    She went down a steep area, but didn’t roll and didn’t get stuck. She told us she had enough momentum to keep going and drive right back out and onto the road. Hmmm…how much momentum was that, exactly, this mom wondered silently…

    She did quite a number on her “virtually indestructible” Volvo (her dad’s words), but she is safe and unhurt. It could have been so much worse, especially since there is evidence that someone else had an accident on that same icy curve in the road — our friend’s mailbox and fire number signpost on the opposite side of the road from the embankment where our daughter went off were annihilated (both posts bent way over almost parallel to the ground).

    Prayers also appreciated for safety when I have to drive into town later to pick her up from work.

    Thanks.

  3. Hubby picked up 3rd Arrow from work after her shift, and they’re safely back home.

    Hubby didn’t go back to work after he brought her home, taking half a sick day. Sick with stomach issues, and just plain sick of his work, too.

    Thanks for praying.
