Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 103
1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
his deeds to the people of Israel:
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
he remembers that we are dust.
15 The life of mortals is like grass,
they flourish like a flower of the field;
16 the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
17 But from everlasting to everlasting
the Lord’s love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children—
18 with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
19 The Lord has established his throne in heaven,
and his kingdom rules over all.
20 Praise the Lord, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding,
who obey his word.
21 Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,
you his servants who do his will.
22 Praise the Lord, all his works
everywhere in his dominion.
Praise the Lord, my soul.
While reading Psalm 140 this morning, it occurred to me that there is much in David’s life that we don’t know about.
The Bible only tells us about events in David’s life. We don’t really know much about it.

I am struggling this morning, I was up early, it’s Monday with a couple complicated stories ahead for me to start working on — and I think I’m just experiencing the letdown/aftermath of all the house stuff and the prospect of catching up on all that got ignored during the past 2+ years.
Also, Carol really needs prayer — they still haven’t started her on antibiotics and she tells me that she’s having trouble just standing up without 2 people supporting her. She needs some physical therapy to get some of her strength back. She also now has “diaper rash.” 😦 It all sounds so miserable, but she doesn’t seem to feel too down about it. Still, if those antibiotics aren’t started by tomorrow, I may try contacting the administrators there. Even though I’m on Carol’s list as the contact to speak with, they’ve not been all that helpful or open/forthcoming with me in the past when I’ve called.
Her weakness concerns me, at some point I realize she won’t have the ability to get out much — her legs are in constant pain (really bad knees) and she’s also on some pretty strong pain relievers now every day.

Praying with you and for you.

The fires continue with wind expected tomorrow. That should blow some of this horrible air away and then Wednesday anticipates rain–as much as three inches by the weekend.
This is good and bad news. We need the rain desperately. It probably will trigger landslides up in Butte County.
Help.

And a very stressful day/week ahead for me at work, I’m already trying to juggle two breaking stories on my beat this morning and trying to get photographers out on the fly. I need to be in too many places at once it seems.

A very nice fellow came to try and fix my front door lock. We concluded it would not work. He got it locked and will return today to install a new one. This door goes to two flats and the centre owns the other one, so am hoping I only have to pay half. The nice man is a pastor from Boise.

Looks like some new serious drama may be stirring with X. I can’t go into detail, as it’s something that could be misconstrued when out of context.
I am very upset. I had told Nightingale that something could be taken out of context and used against her, but she poo-pooed my concerns. Now that may bite her on the butt – and hard. She is working a double shift today, meaning she won’t be back until midnight or later, so I can’t discuss it with her face-to-face until tomorrow morning.
Right now, X has The Boy, so I may have to see him when he drops him off unless The Boy starts walking down the lane before I get up there. I think I will delay my going out to hasten that.
And I wish Hubby were here to go through this with me.

The Boy did get out of the car and walk down the lane as I was walking towards the car, so I didn’t have an awkward encounter with X.

Dj, is my house behaving like yours. The nice worker came to put in the new lock today, but said that even with pliers he could not get the door unlocked. We will try at lunch tomorrow, when I can be here and come in through the neighbors flat to open the door from the inside. I am home now and as it is thunder and lightening weather will probably just stay in.
