I was sitting here reading today and noticed I had my left eye closed. So I checked by opening and closing each eye. It seems my vision is now blurry in my left eye. I will have to be sure and have an eye appointment in December. Not sure how quickly new glasses could be made.
😊 Jo they can now make glasses in an hour if they are not “too complicated”. I have no line bifocals and they had mine done in two hours….
😊 staying home all day..no meet ups…no traffic….rest….
🙂 Sleeping in (even a couple of hours) before Duke start staring at me and crying for his breakfast
🙂 Seeing son tonight (DIL is away)
😦 It’s cold outside. There’s still snow on the ground from a snowfall earlier this week.
😦 Mistaken school booking discovered on Thursday. I had them on the calendar for 2 weeks away and they are actually coming on Monday!!! Thankfully, my co-workers are forgiving and we managed to shop for the needed food and hire enough staff to run the activities for the group. I felt awful, but I’m glad things worked out even if it was a bit of a scramble.
A dreary, rainy Saturday afternoon, almost dark as night.
But the storm is south of us. No wind and that’s good.
And we still have power. Lots of things cancelled.
A beautiful sunshine day here, we have been out picking up junk in our annual fall cleanup. Snow is much prettier when you know it is not just covering junk. The visiting dog spread lots of stuff around. Mostly sticks and things of that nature. And then there is us.
🙂 Glad I shouldn’t even have to think about snow for three months.
😦 This has been a long, hard slog but
🙂 my knee is healing! The doctor said it won’t regain normal color for some time, but it is such an amazing difference in the last week!
😦 Got word last night that someone dear to me from Chicago is not doing well. I made and mailed her a card, but wish I could go see her.
We can’t decide what season we are in. Wait. I guess that is normal for September around here. Eighty three high predicted today and then cool again. Layers of clothing a good option these days.
😦 On a funnier note–my husband and I decided to go to a local country show last night. This show goes monthly during the school year and donates money to different local schools. We arrived at the school to find it locked and no cars in the parking lot. There is an electronic signboard outside the school, so we rechecked the sign. Sure enough, we assured each other, the sign said the show was Sept. 8 and preshow group should already be performing. We looked several times at the sign and each other, thoroughly puzzled. The little car calendar was in my line of sight and I finally glanced at that and turned to my husband. “Well, no wonder no one is here! It’s September 15th!” Ugh! We were so disappointed, but what can you do but laugh? 😀
🙂 😦 I like the color but … it is intense — although I was expecting that. It will be broken up some with the cream trim which hasn’t been applied yet along with some planters and other “accessories” around the property. My neighbor said only “It’s going to take getting used to.” Granted, it is a very big change.

We have very wet snow here. Poor Duke is very cold when we take him outside.

I just ordered ordered “A Poppy for Remembrance” for my Kindle. It’s almost free, but I won’t get it until November.

Cheryl, we shouldn’t be thinking of snow yet either!!! It’s a little ridiculous. We’re almost as chilly as Roscuro’s new home.

Let me guess: somebody living on the other side of the country picked the colors…you will love it when it is done and cleaned up.
