Prayer Requests 7-20-18

It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.

Anyone else?

Psalm 134

Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord
who minister by night in the house of the Lord.
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary
    and praise the Lord.

May the Lord bless you from Zion,
he who is the Maker of heaven and earth.

  1. Still continue to be baffled by the boy. We have agreed to just focus on role modeling as we can do nothing toward his character or habits. He leaves home about five in the morning and returns at about nine at night. He seems to eat a lot of protein bars and drinks which are not good for him but he does not seem to be drinking or drugging which would not be good for him in a worse way. He seems to work as he seems to be able to buy things, like protein bars and drinks and Oakley sunglasses. So, wisdom on how to do that and on keeping my snarky mouth shut.

  2. Please continue to pray for BG. I was quiet for most of our conversation last night. Something happened last November and I told her to start at the beginning and bring me to today. I told her I would help her, but there are conditions. She has not been taking her thyroid medication. That is the one item I did lose my cool over. THAT is non-negotiable! It is a matter of life and death. I told her that her heart could just stop beating!
I need God to soften my husband’s heart where my child is concerned. She needs us right now. I set some boundaries for helping her. One is that she MUST see a counselor. She may choose the one from a list I will provide and I will not be attending with her unless it is upon request. She begged me not to tell her father. I see no point in telling him. It doesn’t help her and it doesn’t help me. He will rant and rave then roll over like a wimp. Neither of us needs his drama.

  3. This will be the third Friday night in a row we have gotten to keep Miss M. I need to get continuing education done before the end of August, renew my Alabama license then stary on my Florida renewal, and then sell some real estate.
    Then she smiles at me.

  4. Well, I figure that is an answer to prayer. Son’s truck broke down. Again. He was pulling our camp trailer to the reunion but only made it as far as Lewiston so they will not be going. Instead, he will be installing a new injector.

Husband had suggested he buy the truck the highway district was selling for five hundred dollars. Husband ended up buying it to replace the garbage scow that son had borrowed. So husband has his truck and a five hundred dollar truck, both run well. Son has his twelve thousand dollar truck at fourteen percent interest, coming back on a friend’s flatbed. When do they learn???

Anyway, I am glad the bio mom thing did not blow up and all is well as it can be.

  5. Nightingale is working a double shift tomorrow, and then 7am to 7pm (if she gets out on time) on Sunday. Since she will leave before The Boy and I get up, and get home after we’ve each gone to bed, it will be as if he and I are spending the whole weekend together, until about 8pm Sunday, without her. Gonna be a long weekend.

Please pray for patience for me, and a spirit of cooperation between us (mostly on his part).

(I’m also praying that his other grandparents will decide to do something with him for a few hours on one of those days. But I don’t want to pin all my hopes on that.)
