Prayer Requests 7-9-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 123

I lift up my eyes to you,
to you who sit enthroned in heaven.
As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till he shows us his mercy.

Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us,
for we have endured no end of contempt.
We have endured no end
    of ridicule from the arrogant,
    of contempt from the proud.

  1. Thanking God that The Boy likes the town’s Recreation program so much. He’s also getting swimming lessons. Nightingale is working a lot this summer, so it is great that he has someplace to go to play with other children and enjoy the activities they do – and that he is not wearing out his Mimi. 😉

Please pray he will continue to enjoy it and not grow tired of it.

  2. Linda just left to drive to Tucson–15 hour drive; she’ll stop for the night somewhere. She’s getting a knee replaced next week; this trip was her last hurrah for awhile.

CR leaves for LA in two hours, flying, and a return to her secondary essays.

She’s ten for ten right now, waiting to hear from the California medical schools (six more) and then we move into awaiting opportunities to interview.

It’s exciting, but she spent all the non-fun time writing essays and taking a 90 minutes ethics test online for four of the schools.

    God is good.

She’s aiming for the California schools, particularly UC Davis 90 minutes up the road to be closer to home. That’s our hope, at least.

We’re just praying she gets in to school–knowing the Lord will put her where she needs to be, or not. 🙂

    Thanks for any prayers.

  3. Children just headed off on their bikes. Once again, the girls are going for library and swimming. The boy is going for library only. He loves to sit in the library and read.
