Prayer Requests 6-28-18

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 119:137-144

צ Tsadhe

137 You are righteous, Lord,
    and your laws are right.
138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
    they are fully trustworthy.
139 My zeal wears me out,
    for my enemies ignore your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
    and your servant loves them.
141 Though I am lowly and despised,
    I do not forget your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is everlasting
    and your law is true.
143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
    but your commands give me delight.
144 Your statutes are always righteous;
    give me understanding that I may live.

  1. While my asthma didn’t get in the way of me moving, it has again flared up. I’m not totally bedridden, but I am in discomfort and some pain (the lungs have no pain receptors, but many asthmatics report pain with their attacks). I am not the only one in pain, as my mother has been in an acute flare up of her inflammatory arthritis recently. A couple of days ago, she went to a local blood pressure clinic and the cuff was so painful on her arms that she had to ask them to stop before the reading was finished – she said she almost cried with the pain and my mother has a very high pain tolerance. That further confirms my suspicion that the inflammation is not confined to her joints, and that she may have fibromyalgia in addition to rheumatoid arthritis.
