Prayer Requests 4-25-18

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajisuun and The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 76

God is renowned in Judah;
    in Israel his name is great.
His tent is in Salem,
    his dwelling place in Zion.
There he broke the flashing arrows,
    the shields and the swords, the weapons of war.

You are radiant with light,
    more majestic than mountains rich with game.
The valiant lie plundered,
    they sleep their last sleep;
   not one of the warriors
    can lift his hands.
At your rebuke, God of Jacob,
    both horse and chariot lie still.

It is you alone who are to be feared.
    Who can stand before you when you are angry?
From heaven you pronounced judgment,
    and the land feared and was quiet—
when you, God, rose up to judge,
    to save all the afflicted of the land.
10 Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise,
    and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

11 Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them;
    let all the neighboring lands
    bring gifts to the One to be feared.
12 He breaks the spirit of rulers;
    he is feared by the kings of the earth.

  1. A praise to go with the prayer request(s) a couple weeks back in terms of being overwhelmed, and particularly with house-selling stress. It looks like we’re on target for the sales (sale and purchase) to go through. My husband is currently on his computer ordering toilets . . .

    We still have a crazy-busy summer ahead of us (particularly between now and moving day) and we do still have stress on another front (not between us), but getting all of that settled is encouraging and a vast relief.

  2. Great news, Cheryl. It always looks so much better from the other side of a move, once you’re finally “in.” There’s still a lot of work, but it’s a lot more fun settling into a place than going through the upheaval of packing up and leaving one.
