Prayer Requests 3-26-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 47

Clap your hands, all you nations;
    shout to God with cries of joy.

For the Lord Most High is awesome,
    the great King over all the earth.
He subdued nations under us,
    peoples under our feet.
He chose our inheritance for us,
    the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.

God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
    the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.
Sing praises to God, sing praises;
    sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth;
    sing to him a psalm of praise.

God reigns over the nations;
    God is seated on his holy throne.
The nobles of the nations assemble
    as the people of the God of Abraham,
   for the kings of the earth belong to God;
    he is greatly exalted.

  1. Prayers appreciated for travel tomorrow. I organized eight ladies to go to Goroka for the day. We are traveling by air and it is only a fourteen minute flight from wheels up to wheels down. If we went by road, it would be several hours of dangerous driving. Pickup by the aviation bus is at 5:30am, oh, no. And they did not want to come to our homes so I have to gather everyone before then to meet at the guest house. Just being in a PNG town is not safe, so prayer appreciated. I am going to try and get my PNG drivers license as mine has expired. I may purchase some bilums, if I see any that I like.

  2. I was so caught up in asking you to pray for Les that I didn’t often ask for prayers for Lee.
    She was going to the Cancer Treatment Center in Tulsa and #claimingmymiracle that we all thought she was doing well enough. I awoke to this post from her cousin this morning:

    Prayers please for Lee. She is in ICU with sepsis. She has been so strong through all her cancer treatments. Her faith in God has not waivered. She claims her miracles everyday. 🙏🙏🙏

  3. Prayers for us in the preparation and move, please. We should find out in the next 24 hours or so whether everything is a “go” (to the best of our ability before the actual closing), and then we can move forward on things we are waiting to do.

  4. Was wondering about the move status Cheryl.

    Carol needs 10 more days of IV antibiotics so is being transferred from the hospital in Hollywood to a rehab center in Long Beach, close to me (which I have a feeling she requested). She also may try to find a residence down there closer to me. Mixed feelings on my part about that, i’m afraid.

    She has no phone, however, and the rehabs often don’t have direct phone service for patients. Trying to figure out how to get her check cashed so I could get the money up front to pay her bill for April. She won’t be able to get to a bank to do it herself and I’m very resistant to paying for the bill up front as I told her a year ago I never would again (because she never pays me back). I suppose the other option is to let her go without a phone, of course.

  5. Maybe that’s the best solution. Not that she’ll learn the lesson, so to speak, I don’t think she’s capable of changing her behavior on that front, but so be it.
