Prayer Requests 2-24-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 17:1-9

1 Hear me, Lord, my plea is just;
    listen to my cry.
   Hear my prayer—
    it does not rise from deceitful lips.
2 Let my vindication come from you;
    may your eyes see what is right.

3 Though you probe my heart,
    though you examine me at night and test me,
   you will find that I have planned no evil;
    my mouth has not transgressed.
4 Though people tried to bribe me,
    I have kept myself from the ways of the violent
    through what your lips have commanded.
5 My steps have held to your paths;
    my feet have not stumbled.

6 I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
    turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.
7 Show me the wonders of your great love,
    you who save by your right hand
    those who take refuge in you from their foes.
8 Keep me as the apple of your eye;
    hide me in the shadow of your wings
9 from the wicked who are out to destroy me,
    from my mortal enemies who surround me.

  1. I’ve been sick with a bad cold for about a week now, and I think I may be developing (or have developed) a sinus infection. Please pray it will resolve itself soon. Thank you.

    Mother-in-law is still in the hospital. Appreciate prayers.

    My mom’s pain is lessening, and she is coping pretty well.

    Being with Mom & Dad yesterday, overnight, and today was wonderful, at times hilarious, and a tremendous and beautiful blessing for me. Sometime I will tell you a story about last night that brought joyful tears, it almost took my breath away. But no time now — sweet reconnecting time with hubby and children.

    Thank you for praying for my travel safety. Mostly good driving conditions, with uneventful travels there and back in between some crummy weather just before and just after the journey. God’s perfect timing. Lord be praised.

  5. Nightingale is getting cautiously serious about this new guy she’s been seeing. Please pray for God to protect her heart, that if this man isn’t His will for her, their feelings will fade and they will break up. Thanks.

  6. There was a large (7.5) earthquake a couple hours ago in Papua New Guinea. If I’m reading the map right it was centered maybe 100 miles from where Jo is. It’s 6:30 am there now. Let’s pray as we wait to hear from her. (Thanks Mumsee for the alert on the daily thread.)

  8. I am fine, but that one came at 3:44am with quite jolt and continued. I almost went outside, but then it settled down. But then I spent the rest of the night thinking of an earthquake preparedness bag to leave by the front door. Our homes are on piers and tend to sway instead of collapse.

  11. That reminds me, a guy was arrested last night for riding his horse onto one of our freeways. He was stopped arrested on a DUI.

    Just when the news couldn’t get any weirder from California …

  18. Something I learned while looking into sinus infections is that it is not good to use a decongestant more than three days. Doing so can make the situation worse. Just thought I should mention that if anyone needs to know that.
