Prayer Requests 2-3-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 149

Praise the Lord.

   Sing to the Lord a new song,
    his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
Let them praise his name with dancing
    and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
For the Lord takes delight in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.
Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.

May the praise of God be in their mouths
    and a double-edged sword in their hands,
to inflict vengeance on the nations
    and punishment on the peoples,
to bind their kings with fetters,
    their nobles with shackles of iron,
to carry out the sentence written against them—
    this is the glory of all his faithful people.

   Praise the Lord.

  1. Daughter is off the rails again. That was a brief respite. She plans to leave again tomorrow, again planning to attend the Catholic church but who knows where she might end up, according to her. I told her she does not have permission to go. I will find and set aside her shoes and boots and jacket at some point today, maybe lock her bike. I told her she could go for a walk after we get home from church.

  2. I know a lot of you are not gonna like this, but I am asking prayer for an illegal immigrant (who seems to be a believer) to be allowed to stay.

    His name is Henry, and he is from El Salvador. He is married to a daughter of my dear friend Renee-in-Minnesota. Renee not only wants Henry to stay for his own sake, but also she doesn’t want to see this happen to her daughter.

    Yes, maybe they should have seen this coming, maybe he shouldn’t have come here illegally, and maybe she shouldn’t have married him knowing his status, but all that is already done. Please pray that all the positive letters being written on his behalf will help him, and that he will have favor with the authorities. I pray this as much for Renee as I do for her daughter and Henry.

  3. How did the tooth business come out, Kizzie? Did you end up having it pulled? I’ve been behind on here and rather out of the loop.

  4. Hasn’t been extracted yet, but the flare-up of pain has gradually subsided. At this point, it is only a little sensitive. We’ll get in sometime next week. That’s just as well, as I have a cold, and I’d rather not be in the dentist’s chair, having to cough or blow my nose, while they work in my mouth. 🙂

    The great thing, besides the pain subsiding, is that my other teeth are in good shape, so the extraction is the only work I need done, after probably about three or four years since my last dental appointment.
