Prayer Requests 1-27-18

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 143

Lord, hear my prayer,
    listen to my cry for mercy;
   in your faithfulness and righteousness
    come to my relief.
Do not bring your servant into judgment,
    for no one living is righteous before you.
The enemy pursues me,
    he crushes me to the ground;
   he makes me dwell in the darkness
    like those long dead.
So my spirit grows faint within me;
    my heart within me is dismayed.
I remember the days of long ago;
    I meditate on all your works
    and consider what your hands have done.
I spread out my hands to you;
    I thirst for you like a parched land.

Answer me quickly, Lord;
    my spirit fails.
   Do not hide your face from me
    or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
    for I have put my trust in you.
   Show me the way I should go,
    for to you I entrust my life.
Rescue me from my enemies, Lord,
    for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God;
   may your good Spirit
    lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life;
    in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
    destroy all my foes,
    for I am your servant.

  1. Second sibling, Second In-law and Tiny Niece are moving in with my parents today. I am most concerned about Second and the baby who has yet to make an appearance. He is now overdue, and I am concerned about the stress of moving on the both of them. Remember, Second was in a car accident a couple of months ago, and so she is at higher risk of complications because it is impossible to know what damage may have been done to the placenta and the baby by the trauma of the impact. She has been monitored since, but I will be relieved when the little man makes an appearance.

  2. Donna, especially if you have claustrophobia.
    I used to know a former sub captain in the Lions Club in H’ville.
    Out of curiosity, I asked him how the men got exercise. He said they use weights and run in place.
    Without making any noise. That would be the hard part.

  3. I am on Hubby’s computer in my room, because my laptop is not working correctly. (It is exceedingly slow, then stops altogether. I’m going to try running Ccleaner next time I reboot it, if I can.) This chair, and the angle I have to read the screen, are uncomfortable, so I can’t be here for long.

    Today was supposed to be a relaxing day off, with both Nightingale and The Boy out of the house, but it has been very frustrating instead, due to the laptop issues (my plan was to catch up on here and Facebook, then read some articles I have saved), dogs acting up, and texts with Mr X, who was creating another problem. (Because of the protective order, he cannot contact Nightingale directly, so I was replying to texts, and relaying messages back and forth.)

    Also trying to set up my own account on Nightingale’s laptop, but hit a problem. She is not here, and I don’t know her password to try again. She had signed in and started the process before she had to run out the door again- to The Boy’s pinewood derby.

    I’m so disappointed and frustrated that the day turned out this way, and tomorrow I will be childsitting from early morning to around 4:00. Please pray as you feel led, and also that the laptop problem can be resolved easily (and hopefully inexpensively as well, if we have to take it in). Thank you.

  4. Looks like that did the trick.

    It sounds silly to have been so frustrated over the laptop, but it was that plus a combination of other things, especially on a day that was supposed to be relaxing. And now I have a bad headache.

    The Boy has a sore throat and is getting a cold.

  5. Kizzie, you are still in grief and that messes with your brain.

    I don’t find that excuse and still am frustrated and get anxious over our electronics. My husband will not really learn much, so it is all on me. We just bought him a flip phone to try to keep it simple, but it is not like our old one. OTOH, if learning new things is good for the brain, I guess we get it, like it or not.

  6. Thanks, Kathaleena. I thought of that later, and tried to give myself some slack.

    I forgot to mention that during the problems with my laptop, when I tried to get on Hubby’s computer, after I signed in, it then went to a black screen, with nothing, not even a cursor coming up. The thought of both the computer and laptop being out of commission really upset me. So I did the hard shut down thing, gave it some time, and tried again. The next time all was well with it. Phew!
