Prayer Requests 12-28-17

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 119:137-144

137 You are righteous, Lord,
    and your laws are right.
138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
    they are fully trustworthy.
139 My zeal wears me out,
    for my enemies ignore your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
    and your servant loves them.
141 Though I am lowly and despised,
    I do not forget your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is everlasting
    and your law is true.
143 Trouble and distress have come upon me,
    but your commands give me delight.
144 Your statutes are always righteous;
    give me understanding that I may live.

  1. “Son, why did you take the (such and such) from the room where you are not allowed?”
    “Because mom trusted me.”
    Prayer, we need prayer.

    another son: “I need money to pay my rent, I have not found a job here yet,”
    Dad: “I will transfer enough for two months and utilities.”
    son: “Thanks, I will only use it for those things.”
    later, dad looks at account. Son has removed almost all of the money, paid two months of rent, shopped at a liquor store (he was eighteen at the time), gone out to eat three times, etc.

    It is time to quit enabling. Yet, son has some of the same thoughts as his sisters and brothers. And one of his brothers acted on it and is now dead. We had hoped, with his 3.8 at college, it would help him see through this dark time. We don’t want to add to his depression but we don’t want to enable him in his drinking and spend thrift activities.

    Prayer for wisdom.

  2. thanks to whoever prayed, it had fallen under the edge of the bed skirt. I finally lifted it to continue my hunt.
    Praises also that the store where I was given a shoe coupon is willing to refund me what I didn’t spend. Which will mostly cover the Asics I bought yesterday.!
