Prayer Requests 12-6-17

It’s Wednesday, so don’t forget Ajisuun and The Gambia.

Anyone else?

Psalm 119:9-16

How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
    By living according to your word.
10 I seek you with all my heart;
    do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
    that I might not sin against you.
12 Praise be to you, Lord;
    teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
    all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
    as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
    and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
    I will not neglect your word.

  1. Please pray for the men in my household. Husband, son, and grandson all seem to be getting sick. Cough, runny nose, sore throat. I think they caught it from the crew we had over the weekend.

  2. Very thankful for your prayers. The oral deposition went well. After the taping the agent said, “we’ll fix the bumper, certainly, but based on what you said, I can’t imagine how she got injured. Maybe she just went to get checked out?”

    That’s my hope and I can understand that.

    Our dinner guest was simply splendid and we’d be happy just to be his friend. We had a good time and he’s going to examine his options after he returns from Christmas break, but, really, he said, he just wanted to get to know somebody.

    (The novelist is matchmaking–friends and some wonderful single women . . . But I get ahead of myself!)

    Thanks for your prayers–now, please use them on Southern California.

  3. I was able to straighten out my meds with the insurance company. It seems the doctor was to blame way last year, which would explain why this has been an issue all year. OTOH, I know sometimes the insurance company gives a smaller supply with some drugs until you order again, so I really don’t know who was at fault. I just hope it all goes smoothly now.

    Someone who needs to do a study on something should study the effect of extreme heat and cold on all these mail order drugs.

    And, maybe, the stress level of having mail order. 😉

  4. Pray for safety and that firefighters start to gain some control over our fires. Worse wind conditions are expected in the next couple of days.

    Meanwhile, for Michelle re how her alma mater is doing for now:

  5. My EMT is on standby to help with evacuations. She lives in Pasadena so is safe. One relative drive up the 405 at 6 this morning and sent a scary photo of flames.

    Other relative is back east but concerned about 200 pound pig left at home. Some family members are suggesting he ma return to emu-/ which is typical family humor. That would be Hawaiian roast pork . . .
