It’s Friday, so please remember to pray for Mumsee, Mike, and the Nestlings.
Anyone else?
Psalm 116:1-7
1 I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
2 Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live.
3 The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came over me;
I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4 Then I called on the name of the Lord:
“Lord, save me!”
5 The Lord is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
6 The Lord protects the unwary;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
Nightingale has caught the stomach bug that The Boy had. (He still isn’t eating as much as he usually does, as his stomach continued to hurt for a few days.)
I’m sorry if I sound like I’m being a baby here, but please pray that this virus will pass me by. Nightingale is feeling miserable, & since I tend to get things harder than others in my family, that makes me feel sorry for her & worried for me.
As three days had gone by since The Boy first got sick, we figured we were in the clear. Usually one catches something like this in a day or two. Guess this bug is different.
(We went years between bouts of stomach bugs until The Boy started school. Now we have them go through the family about once a year. Yuck!)

Children are germy little critters.

They sure are. We shouldn’t allow them in the house. 😉

I just prayed, Kizzie. Also prayers for Nightingale and a little Guy to do the Scout activity, God and Country, at your church. And for Chickadee to find her way to Jesus.

The saga continues. You may recall that eighteen year old is too kind? He let somebody have his vehicle with the understanding the guy would be paying over time. The guy has not paid and son has since learned that the guy was on the ten most wanted list in his county. Anyway, this article is about the guy, Terrance Griggs. Son is off to the police station to find out if his car was burned up of if he might be able to go get his car back while the guy is in jail.

So, prayer for son to be wise in his dealings, especially with this guy.

Mumsee, the car plays quite a starring role in that drama. My husband says that perhaps your son could sell movie rights for enough to buy a new car.

Mumsee, that is frightening that he is having dealings with such characters. Prayer for wisdom! I think he has learned an unforgettable lesson. Prayers that he will learn so thoroughly that he will never repeat.

His problem is that son is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He treats everybody with kindness and respect and honestly believes they will deal with him the same way. Tough lesson and I hope he learns from it but remains the extraordinary person he is.

It was son’s car but he hopes, when they let him examine it in a couple of weeks, to learn if it is actually totaled or within his capacity to get it back on the road again.

So, is the car insured, and how does insurance deal with such a thing?

Nope, and if it was, it would have just been liability. He just hopes to get the car back and get stuff from the junkyard to get it running again.

Ok, so back to the screenwriting idea … the girl is cute. It could work.

Experience is the hard way to learn.

I wouldn’t allow a car out on the road without insurance. How will he pay for other people’s damage in case of an accident. That happened to my brother when his car was totaled by someone with no insurance. He was just out. It is illegal to drive without insurance in our state.

Not to say you “allowed” any of that, mumsee. Thank the Lord for the gift of prayer when our children are so foolish!
