Now here’s an interesting article on the unforeseen influence of Republican nominated judges on the Supreme Court. A couple of the worst decisions in modern history have been written by Republicans: Blackmun, nominated by Reagan, wrote Rowe v Wade, and Justice Kennedy, nominated by Nixon, authored Obergefell v Hodges which gave us gay marriage. Now there is speculation that Roberts may follow this disappointing trend—in fact, many think he has already done so with his contorted defense of the individual mandate in 2012.
Another unintended consequence–this time it’s from the rash of sexual harassment claims: Mike Pence was just declared “a prophet ” because of the ‘Pence rule’. Ok, it’s just Dennis Prager on talk radio, but still…. (I’m on the road and stuck behind a train and bored.) :–)
Kate Steinle was not murdered.
It was not even involuntary man slaughter.
The guy shouldn’t have had a gun. That is against the law in San Francisco.
Even for illegals.
