Prayer Requests 10-26-17

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 80:1-7

Hear us, Shepherd of Israel,
    you who lead Joseph like a flock.
You who sit enthroned between the cherubim,
    shine forth before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh.
   Awaken your might;
    come and save us.

Restore us, O God;
    make your face shine on us,
    that we may be saved.

How long, Lord God Almighty,
    will your anger smolder
    against the prayers of your people?
You have fed them with the bread of tears;
    you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
You have made us an object of derision to our neighbors,
    and our enemies mock us.

Restore us, God Almighty;
    make your face shine on us,
    that we may be saved.

  1. Just got a phone call from son. Seems his phone has been turned off for lack of payment. I chuckled and said that is where a job comes in handy. He said it is difficult to get a job when the phone is turned off. I explained the idea was to get the job before hand so the phone bill would get paid and he could move forward.

    Anyway, prayer for wisdom on how to help him best.

  2. By the time that girl gets home, she will be taking more than her body weight in meds. They called once again to increase the dose. This time on a med we had previously disapproved and they evidently gave to her anyway. And so it goes when you venture into the world of psychosis.

  3. Mumsee, getting inside a person’s body is reactively easy.
    Getting inside a person’s mind is very hard.
    Getting inside a person’s spirit is almost impossible.
    It is likely that something happened sometime that even she can’t identify.

  4. Ah, but we know God, who knew her when He formed her in her mother’s womb.

    But I know what you mean, a lot of it is guesswork on getting her stabilized and keeping her that way.

    I am currently pursuing the idea of buying her friends. Ugly as that sounds, she is lonely and some of the girls would be a benefit to her and we can pay them for their time. Praying that the girl we find has a heart for God and for the least of these.
