Prayer Requests 9-18-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 37:1-11

Do not fret because of those who are evil
    or be envious of those who do wrong;
for like the grass they will soon wither,
    like green plants they will soon die away.

Trust in the Lord and do good;
    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
    and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
    your vindication like the noonday sun.

Be still before the Lord
    and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
    when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
    do not fret—it leads only to evil.
For those who are evil will be destroyed,
    but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
    though you look for them, they will not be found.
11 But the meek will inherit the land
    and enjoy peace and prosperity.

  1. For those who may not have seen my comments on the weekend prayer request thread last night, I wrote. . .

    “Crying. (And so is Hubby.) Blood is back in urine again. It’s feeling like he’s never going to be released.

    Also, he is not getting the physical therapy he needs. He is lucky if they have time to have him take one walk a day around the halls. And as many of you know, you don’t get a good night’s sleep in the hospital, so he is weary from that as well.”

  2. I prayed for him around 3 this morning . . . L is usually the first one who comes up whenever I think to pray.

    My prayer partner drives 12 hours today to Idaho to celebrate her granddaughter’s first birthday, then drives back on Wednesday. Safe trip for her, please.

    Also, Jim, the 50 year quadripelegiac (sp?) I asked you to pray for six months ago, died in his sleep over the weekend.

    Jim was an elder, a PhD, a Biblical scholar, a wise man, great pray-er and teacher. We’re all so very sad to have lost him, but when I thought about him out of his wheelchair and running for the first time in 50 years in heaven, I got tears in my eyes (they’re back).

    He’s running and leaping and praising his God right now and that image is total joy.

    No more sorrow. No more pain. Pure joy. I’ll take it.
