Just had a fun time making at least 150 cookies with my ten year old granddaughter. Some will go in the freezer and some are for a funeral tomorrow.
🙂 🙂 I have had a blessed time with a friend this week. Another missionary lives here for now and she needed a place to stay while all the family of the family she was staying with arrived for the funeral. We have had such sweet sharing and I have been able to pray specifically for her. She is a widow and has trouble sleeping, but has had sweet rest here.
😦
Can you see the end of your nose?
I think most people can’t but I can.
It hasn’t mattered a bit all these years.
But I have a small pimple that I picked at and it is bloody.
And it is a distraction. I can’t do anything about it because I can see whatever is there.
🙂 It is a beautiful time of year here to praise God for all the beauty He has given us in nature. The leaves on the maples are absolutely stunning.
🙂 My daughter has an old friend who asked for books on faith. She lost hers years ago, but has noticed my daughter has kept hers. They are connected by social media since they are several states apart from one another. Please pray for Corrine to have eyes to see and ears to hear, as well as an open, softened heart. Pray for the ‘right’ materials or people in her life, as well. Also, wisdom for my daughter and other believers around this woman.
😦 Still waiting for our newest grandbaby. Pray for physical health and strength for Designer Girl. This one may be stubborn like her mommy. 😉 Pray I don’t have jury duty when she decides to make her debut. Will be Sept. 27 if not before.
😦 I must have shook a half dozen hands at the Meet& greet part of our worship service this morning. .
One of the persons I shook hands with looked at me.
I never shake a hand without looking the person in thee eye.
(if the eye is available.)
It makes an important statement.
Not only in church, but anywhere: Always look at the person with whom you are shaking hands.
🙂 We (husband) trimmed out the shop door and it looks so much better now. We put in an overhead door instead of the 2 heavy, heavy sliders so that I can actually park inside the garage.
🙂 We still haven’t had a frost!! It’s past the middle of September – we usually are covering our plants at the end of August to let them mature a bit more before harvest. Now we just want there to be a light frost so we can pick the squash, pumpkins and carrots.
Kare, I don’t even want to think about frost in September.
We’re supposed to be in the 80s all week (we haven’t used the a.c. in weeks, so this will be a warm spell), and I’m happy we aren’t quite ready to descend into fall yet. (Though some trees are starting to turn, and they are lovely.)

Don’t I wish that was the worst problem I have?

We had frost a couple of mornings ago. Husband saw snow along the roads in Montana.

Reminds me of the dog park.

I heard there was snow in Wyoming, too.
Our temperature got up to 93 two days ago. Very unusual for mid-September here.
