Prayer Requests 6-22-17

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 110

The Lord says to my lord:

“Sit at my right hand
    until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet.”

The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
Your troops will be willing
    on your day of battle.
Arrayed in holy splendor,
your young men will come to you
like dew from the morning’s womb.

The Lord has sworn
and will not change his mind:
“You are a priest forever,
    in the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord is at your right hand;
he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead
and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
He will drink from a brook along the way,
and so he will lift his head high.

  1. Bob, I didn’t have time or energy last night to revisit the research I did a few months ago when Neil Anderson’s name came up as problematic. But this morning I simply typed “Neil Anderson controversy” into google and figured that would bring something up, but whether or not it would be reputable is the question.

It seems that Hank Hannegraaf (whose current theology I myself would strongly question, but it’s a logical fallacy to say he therefore is wrong in everything) did a several-part series on Anderson, expressing serious concerns, some of which I alluded to last night. Here is the link to the first part: http://www.equip.org/article/neil-anderson-and-freedom-in-christ-ministries-a-general-critique/

  2. Sorry, that article wasn’t by Hank, but is posted on equip.org and I mistakenly read the first person to be Hank.

  3. It’s gonna be a long summer, with lots of babysitting, as well as taking care of a rambunctious puppy at the same time. August is going to be the worst, as each week is close to full-time hours, & Nightingale has mostly 1st shifts scheduled, which for me involves getting up much earlier than usual. (But my body resists going to sleep earlier than usual.)

The past two months, Nightingale has worked full-time hours each week, mostly 2nd shifts. (IOW, after Little Guy was out of school for the day, not while he was at school). The rest of this month is pretty full, too.

So far, July looks like it will give us a bit of a break, as she has a vacation scheduled at the end of the month, & the rest of the month is not as densely scheduled. But, oh, August!

Anyway, please pray for stamina & patience for me. Thank you.
