Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 100
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Please remember to pray for my friend L. I know she went to the ER one day last week and they sent her home. Her mother doesn’t think she is any better, but her husband does. I haven’t asked a whole lot of questions. I do know that her attitude has been that every day she has been alive since she first battled cancer in 2006 has been a gift. She was her doctors first survivor then.

Continuing to keep L in my prayers, Kim.
A praise and a prayer request: A sweet young lady in our congregation, E, 21 years old, a good friend of our adult son, will be having surgery tomorrow. The praise is that, after having experienced seizures since early childhood, doctors last year were able to pinpoint exactly what part of her brain is affected, and she is an excellent candidate for a minimally-invasive surgery that has a high success rate in totally curing the seizure disorder. The surgeon is very experienced with this type of operation, and she will be at a state-of-the-art medical center in the Midwest.
Please join us in prayer for safe travels for E and her family today, and that the surgery will go well and successfully eliminate her seizures. If all goes as planned, she should be discharged from the hospital the day after tomorrow to recuperate at home this summer. (She is coming up on her senior year of college, which is in another state.)
Thank you so much.

Prayer for VBS. Eleven year old is already giving the teachers opportunity to expand their experience. Every year in the past, I have had to take him out for a day or two. Bopping other children on the head the first day does not bode well. I reminded him that he is an ambassador for Christ, when people see him, they should see some aspect of Him. We don’t see God bopping people on the head, so he should not be doing that.

Good News!!!!! I contacted L’s mother through FB. L has requested my red beans and rice so I am going to the store in a bit to get everything and get started. If she wants it she can have it!!!!!

I don’t know, Mumsee. I think Jesus might have wanted to bop a disciple or two on the head from time to time. 🙂

That’s a good sign, Kim!

I have no doubt He wanted to, but He did not succumb to temptation.

Now to decide whether to remove him from VBS…again…or bite the bullet and attend with him. It is not my idea of fun anymore to sit in a roomful of out of control disruptive children for three hours.

That’s why I only volunteer to lead recreation. I don’t want to discipline anyone and I like to see kids running around.

I think recreation was my favorite.

We have VBS going on here also. I think they encourage the children to be wild.

I am sitting here watching my neighbor’s home go up in flames…we were alerted that we may need to leave but now it appears they have the flames under control…not a good outlook as you sit in the forest, watching the brave firefighters attempt to keep this forest from going up in flames. I am devasted for my neighbor…she is beside herself…please pray for Dan and Carol…this is so very hard….it will be a total loss……they walk with our Lord and their faith is solid…
