Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 92
1 It is good to praise the Lord
and make music to your name, O Most High,
2 proclaiming your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
and the melody of the harp.
4 For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
5 How great are your works, Lord,
how profound your thoughts!
6 Senseless people do not know,
fools do not understand,
7 that though the wicked spring up like grass
and all evildoers flourish,
they will be destroyed forever.
8 But you, Lord, are forever exalted.
9 For surely your enemies, Lord,
surely your enemies will perish;
all evildoers will be scattered.
10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox;
fine oils have been poured on me.
11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries;
my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
13 planted in the house of the Lord,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
I didn’t bring my laptop to Boerne–so I’m on my cell–and therefore “anonymous”–but it’s Ann. I’d like to request prayers for my sister and her family and all the people of Kijabe, Kenya. They are experiencing a cholera outbreak …. Everyone in my sister’s family has had it–but they’ve all been treated with Doxycycline and are improving. However, there are many people without access to medical care. Please pray.

I walked and prayed and puzzled and realized that what I am seeing is light as some darkness has left. I know this is a vague comment, but that is all that I can say.
Attended Carl Richard Campbell’s memorial service today. Linda knows him. He was a translator who died while walking between villages.

I have had a headache for 2 days now. I can usually eliminate my pillow and it will go away. Not working this time. Please pray that my neck will get ba c k into place, so that I c a n b e clear headed and function well. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing that, Jo. I’m assuming there will be one here, too. We weren’t able to go to Jodi’s because it was in Florida at Christmas and there was no way we could get away. If possible, my DIL (who is his cousin) and I will go.

The cholera outbreak, which is thought to be a new strain, seems to have begun somewhere in Ethiopia/Somalia, so it isn’t surprising that it has hit Kenya. It is very bad in Yemen (East Africa and Yemen have a lot of back and forth), where the ongoing civil war has destroyed healthcare and sanitation infrastructure.

Husband sounded much worse last night on the phone. He assures me he will “probably” go to the doctor today. I will send sis in law an email, asking her to be aware.

My daughter picked up her cholera medication yesterday and got her yellow fever, etc. shots. She’ll spend three days in Rwanda on her way home. This is a tough list for prayer but will do so.

Praise. God has blessed financially lately. Along with the small inheritance from my mom that helped knock down some debt but I received a full refund on the conference I missed. We also got a nice gift from a church friend for our anniversary. 🙂

Praising with you, kbells, now to get your sciatica under control.
Husband’s new medication is working better – so thankful. Still not even 80% yet, but at least he can work and hopefully take a look at our riding mower so I can mow the field of dandelions today.

My riding mower is nonfunctional again these days. Waiting for son to look at it. He remembers when he broke it years ago, long before he was even allowed to ride it. Goofing around and he is still fixing that problem.

Well, he finally woke up, after fourteen hours of sleep and they are off to urgent care. Wisdom for the docs, thanks.

I get a lot of mileage out of, “You’re acting just like Dad.” They always correct themselves when I point that out. (I’ve told my nieces about that charm . . . )

Husband went to the doctor and the doc said he did not sound good. Normally would not prescribe antibiotics, but with husband’s medical history, gave him a zpac. No xrays. It usually takes effect rather quickly but if not, he will be home next week and able to go to his docs here for follow up. Thanks for praying.

Minor compared to all of the above, but looks like I may have picked up scabies from Carol, waiting to get checked at urgent care now …

Oh, DJ! Definitely NOT minor for you! Praying.
I cannot remember if I posted that the mother, whose son was emancipated at 15 with no notice to her and then able to change schools and have a gender change without knowledge or consent, lost in court. Not sure if it will be appealed. I cannot remember if he is now 18 or will be shortly.
This is so wrong on so many levels. Pray for them.

Dj, the meds work. Got to use them head to toe and not miss any spots. Then again in two weeks. Such fun.

due to the stress of home renovation, you have developed a home renovation rash. The bathroom will need to be completely redone, and the bedroom ceiling fixed, not to mention a new foundation and sewer pipe through the driveway. We will discuss the possible need for new windows at your next appointment.

Mumsee, you may actually be right about this. Stress rash?

DJ – Is that what the doctor called it, or were you just paraphrasing Mumsee’s idea?

She’s wracked up enough points for it to be stress, just saying. 😦
A day off doing nothing but the bonbons and enjoying the new matched set and watching movies all day may be helpful in the long run. Just close your eyes if you see something to put away.

Doctor was noncommittal, said it could be scabies since I have been exposed to it, so gave me the cream

Praising with you, KBells.
I’m so sorry to hear of all the pain and difficult situations expressed here. Praying for all tonight.
I need prayers on multiple levels. I’ll not share details — just please pray for wisdom in decision-making, and anything else that comes to mind. Thank you.

As you all know, I have a deadline (Wednesday morning) to get all this extra cleaning done, along with babysitting each one of these days (six days in a row).
It’s not that I don’t usually clean my house, but I am attacking areas that don’t get much attention, that I’ve let slide too long. Although the appraiser/assessor person is going to be more interested in the structure & condition of the house (& there are some things about the condition of this house that are embarrassing – former owner was a DIY guy who went for cheap & easy – but we haven’t had the money to fix those things that are in bad shape), I know that her eyes will take in more than that. And I’m looking at this as a good jump start to my plan for keeping up on everything (which I had half-heartedly already started).
Anyway. . .I had planned to do a little bit today, too, so I don’t end up with more to do on Monday & Tuesday than I expected. But I have been nauseous since last night, & I didn’t sleep well, waking up to waves of nausea & then being awake awhile. Please pray this passes today, & that I get a good night’s sleep tonight, so I’ll have the energy & strength to finish well. Thank you.

I’ve had to cut back on pain meds. I threw up blood last night. Don’t feel well.

Auto correct correcting badly! Confident. Not confinement!

Feeling better than I did last night, but not too great. I did get our entryway cleaned up, since it didn’t take much.
And as I finish typing this, my tummy is cramping a bit. 😦
