Anyone have something to share?
Psalm 82
1 God presides in the great assembly;
he renders judgment among the “gods”:
2 “How long will you defend the unjust
and show partiality to the wicked?
3 Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
5 “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.
They walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”;
you are all sons of the Most High.’
7 But you will die like mere mortals;
you will fall like every other ruler.”
8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth,
for all the nations are your inheritance.
Good morning. I just posted a much needed request on yesterday’s thread….If someone would be so kind as to move it to today (I don’t know how to do that)–I need all the prayers around.
Thanks….

Here you go Ann.
“Good early morning, fellow wanderers and prayer warriors. It’s been busy at my house lately. Becca fell ill Friday afternoon (she gets out of school at noon on Friday, said she didn’t feel well and took a nap–which she never does–and awakened at 3:30 with a 104). I took her to the doctor, where they ruled out strep and flu, and decided it was a viral infection. I became sick Sunday–and am fairly certain it’s now turned into bronchitis. I feel cruddy and probably would benefit from antibiotics–but can’t go to doctor until tomorrow. (Oh, how I wish I had traveled to Mexico recently and had brought back a few Z-packs!). Anyway–I’d appreciate prayers for physical healing. Oh–and Lindsey had the vomit virus yesterday…so hoping no one else in the family succumbs to that dreaded bug.
I am taking my long-term BFF to have a basal cell carcinoma removed from right above her left eye. The doctors want her to have a driver b/c they suspect her left eye will swell shut from the procedure…. I am meeting her in town (about an hour commute from my ‘burb) at 9:30 (she’s going to UBER there).
The primary reason for this prayer request is that I am meeting my cousin Pike–the one I asked for prayer for a few weeks ago–at two at a Motel 6 I booked for him last night. Please pray that I would have the right words to get through to him his need for a psychiatric evaluation–and that I wouldn’t say anything that might send him back into hiding. He has been on the streets for about a week–frequently getting a day pass to 24 hour Fitness, working out through the night and then napping by day in the Rice University Library……He has zero cash….
Thank you for praying.
I desperately need a shower…..signing off for now.”

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for another day to live and give you praise and glory. If that remains our main goal then everything else falls into proper perspective. Thank You for listening to our feeble expressions of love for You. We try in earnest to be faithful yet often fail. You are never fickle as we are at times washy-washy. Thanks for mercy and grace to see us all the way to heaven.
I pray for those in Manchester who have been hurt in extreme ways by an act of terrorism. Those who seek to rule through fear may seem to win for a moment, but Your love will prevail even through such horrific incidents. Thanks for pulling people together into love huddles when they share tears and caring gestures. I pray for the newly diseased who will probably suffer PTSD for perhaps the rest of their lives. Please help them and their families through all that suffering. I pray for family and friends of the dead and wounded. Bless them with comfort and peace from anger and any regrets or guilt. Please quickly heal those who can be healed. It does not seem possible that such a horrific event could in any way bring You glory. But I pray for Your good to shine in this darkness to take the focus off of the power of evil.
Lord, I lift up Ann today in all the needs she mentioned. Please help her family during this season of various sicknesses. I pray for lessening of symptoms and freedom from all ailments. I also lift up her relative with whom she plans to meet. Please help her to have a positive intervention with sincerely helpful words well received. May her words give light in his dark place so he can envision a way out. May he recognize Jesus working on him and loving him through Ann. May this time next year he will be having a fruitful life dedicated to you. Please pull him up and hold him up in Your strength. You alone can bring him up out of the pit of despair. Please keep Ann in Your good care with angels of protection from any kind of hurt as verbal lashings out can bring lasting pain. Please soften the hard heart of the one who needs tough love to step in. Trusting in You God on this.In Jesus’ name, Amen

Janice, thank you for leading us in prayer. Thanks also for your perspective yesterday on the leg healing.

Husband got the call to go to work as we were coming home from Moscow so is off to Ohio. Wisdom and safety. I don’t know what he will do if he has another flare up while out on the road. He certainly would not be able to drive.

Winging my way to Donna territory after finishing my Philippians Bible study today; the ladies have been terrific as usual and such a blessing to me.
Just like you’all.
China has been calling and all is well.
Stargazer will man the house and continue to apply for work. Please pray for some encouragement for him.
I have a very busy time planned– including a good, if I’m lucky, five hours of driving tomorrow to visit super man Uncle Frank. Couple days of research (how refreshing!), bathroom inspection and visit with a dear old friend with an aching heart.
All good work and I’m looking forward to it.
There’s a potential for several tricky conversations– if you think of me, pray I respond in accordance to Scripture and under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
And tricks back for all. Thanks.

My June 7th endodontic appointment has been moved to June 12. The Lord is teaching me patience. Long story, but it could have turned out worse. I’ll skip all the details. There is a chance — if someone else cancels — that I could get in sooner.
From my reading in Oswald Chambers today, a lesson I know God knew I needed:
Praising God that He’s ever willing to teach me, and that He blesses me with family and friends who pray.

Older sister visited Mom…things did not go well with little sister…older sister now says she will have her name taken off of legal papers stating her power of attorney and executor…she is so upset at “false accusations” and lies…she says little sister can “have it all”…and it is not worth all the stress and headache…what a mess…(and me? Well I’m just the middle sister…I get no say about nothin’!) On a brighter note…it appears Mom will be going home this weekend…she is doing much better 🙂

We sure have a lot of people on here whose names start with K. All six of the “like”s so far on Janice’s prayer post are from people with first names starting with K. 🙂
Praying for all above.
