Prayer Requests 4-6-17

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 33:1-15

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
    it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
    make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song;
    play skillfully, and shout for joy.

For the word of the Lord is right and true;
    he is faithful in all he does.
The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
    the earth is full of his unfailing love.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
    their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
    he puts the deep into storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
    let all the people of the world revere him.
For he spoke, and it came to be;
    he commanded, and it stood firm.

10 The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
    he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
    the purposes of his heart through all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
    the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 From heaven the Lord looks down
    and sees all mankind;
14 from his dwelling place he watches
    all who live on earth—
15 he who forms the hearts of all,
    who considers everything they do.

  1. BG has a follow up with the gastroenterologist today. She still wakes every morning feeling sick. Either something else is going on or she is still doing something she shouldn’t. My prayer is for the truth to come out if she is still not believing what has caused all this mess. While we’re at it can we pray that God will intervene and change hearts?

  2. Asking prayer for Hubby again. There is an attitude he has that can seriously hurt his relationships, that has been getting worse. His lack of sleep makes him weary, & he doesn’t have the energy to fight it, now saying that it’s “just the way I am”. Not only does it color his relationships with us, but it makes him miserable, too.

    Praying for the Holy Spirit to get a hold of him, to give him the wisdom & strength to cooperate with Him in changing that attitude. I know that my husband’s heart wants to change & be more Christ-like, but he is weary, & there is so much on his shoulders. May God lift him up as only He can.

  3. Kim, sometimes walking up feeling sick is a sign that you need to eat. It sounds backwards, but nausea is a symptom of low blood sugar, and the way to reverse a low blood sugar is to eat.

  4. Sherri and I just packed up all of Kaitlyn’s things. She won’t need them anymore. It’s probably going to be days, not weeks. Every dress that folded was just so cute – I’d show them to Sherri and we’d both say “it’s just so Kaitlyn” We had ‘fun’ even though it wasn’t fun. Does that make sense?

  5. Her mom said we could each have a mug or something of Kaitlyn’s to remind us of her. I took a beautiful little bowl with hand painted flowers on the inside as well as a ceramic pen/pencil holder that Kaitlyn had coloured with sharpie and baked.

  6. Thank you all, so much, for your prayers. It means a lot to come back on here and know that you’re praying. Please pray that her siblings arrive tomorrow before she passes away.
