It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.
Anyone else?
Psalm 21
1 The king rejoices in your strength, Lord.
How great is his joy in the victories you give!
2 You have granted him his heart’s desire
and have not withheld the request of his lips.
3 You came to greet him with rich blessings
and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.
4 He asked you for life, and you gave it to him—
length of days, for ever and ever.
5 Through the victories you gave, his glory is great;
you have bestowed on him splendor and majesty.
6 Surely you have granted him unending blessings
and made him glad with the joy of your presence.
7 For the king trusts in the Lord;
through the unfailing love of the Most High
he will not be shaken.
8 Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies;
your right hand will seize your foes.
9 When you appear for battle,
you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace.
The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath,
and his fire will consume them.
10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth,
their posterity from mankind.
11 Though they plot evil against you
and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.
12 You will make them turn their backs
when you aim at them with drawn bow.
13 Be exalted in your strength, Lord;
we will sing and praise your might.
Peace and comfort for Kaitlyn.

O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need: We humbly beseech thee to behold, visit and relieve thy sick servant Kaitlyn for whom our prayers are desired. Look upon her with the eyes of thy mercy; comfort her with a sense of thy goodness; preserve her from the temptations of the enemy; and give her patience under her affliction. In thy good time, restore her to health, and enable her to lead the residue of her life in thy fear, and to thy glory; and grant that finally she may dwell with thee in life everlasting; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you, Kim, I’m not a crier, but I’m crying right now.

{{{{Kare}}}} I love the words of the Book of Common Prayer. I use the time tested prayers as a jumping off point for my own prayers when I don’t have the words to say….

Another friend who played music with my husband has died. His wife has some big health issues herself. She also has over forty horses to care for. It is often difficult to sell horses these days. She has long been retired from teaching. Please pray for Vickie.

Please pray for Madison, a four (or maybe five?) year old little girl with Downs Syndrome. She has had heart surgery in the past, & it is expected she will need it again sometime. Her parents, who are strong believers, wrote the following on Facebook. (Hubby used to work with her dad & they’ve remained friends.) . . .
“Madison’s blood work indicates one of three issues. Kidney failure, heart failure, or dehydration. We are praying it is dehydration. We have increased her water but the blood work still is indicating one of the three.”

KBells. Take it slow. Don’t let just anyone operate on you and try to stay away from a fusion. I would try physical therapy and massage therapy before anything else. Praying.

I don’t know if what I did today was right or wrong but I did it. I let BG spend some time with the Boyfriend yesterday. This morning when she awoke she wasn’t feeling well and was clutching her stomach. Before she had much time to get too much sicker I gave her Zofran to try to head off the nausea. She insisted on going to work today and I took her. Her dad is bringing her home where we will all sit down and lay out what the future looks like.
One more incident of needing to go to the ER from smoking marijauna and someone will drop her off and get her home but no one will be staying with her, sleeping at the hospital etc. She will also lose her car and there will be no financial support. Tough love is toughest on the Mama

Kim, physical therapy made it worse. I’ve had two epidurals. Help a little but not completely. That doctor sort of gave up on me and recommended surgery. Can’t take it slow. I have a troubled child and inherited a 1/3 failing small business that is paying me a small salary that we need.

I feel like every door is closed, including the God door. I keep banging on it, but He won’t answer.

KBells, I am looking at taking BG here. Take a look at it and see if you think it might help The Kid

I’m sorry, KBells. You have my prayers.
Praying for all above, as well.
Just had a tough conversation with engaged daughter. (She called me at home, per her dad’s recommendation, after she’d called her dad at work.) Prayers for wisdom for hubby and me in our future communications with her. Thank you.

6 Arrows, engagement is a tough time. Having been through my own and a daughter’s in the last six years, the daughter’s is more challenging. (Very sweet once you get to the wedding and the marriage, though.) Praying for you.

Madison’s father writes. . .
“To clarify my earlier post. Madison is not in the Hospital. Back in January we had blood work done for a new doctor. She wanted a base line to see where Madison was at. During that blood work some of her levels were off, indicating possible kidney failure, heart failure, or dehydration.
So we increased Madison’s water intake to rule out dehydration and redid the blood work last week. The levels were virtually the same, the increased water should have changed the levels if it was dehydration. There is a small chance that dehydration is the issue. Next week we have our annual cardiology appointment. At that time heart failure should be ruled out. We are still waiting to hear back from our doctor in Boston, to see what the next step is.
As for hydrating Madison, its not as easy as giving her a couple of glasses of water. She can only tolerate a certain volume with out throwing up.”

Hubby and I had a good conversation tonight after he got home. (Regarding 2nd Arrow’s phone calls to each of us.) She said basically the same thing to both of us, and we, for the most part, responded in much the same way to her. I’m praying our unity on the matter is a good example for her.
In any case, please pray the Holy Spirit’s guidance for her and her fiancee. Thanks so much.
