Prayer Requests 2-28-17

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
    praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
    praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
    praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

  1. Kaitlyn had a blood transfusion this morning and is feeling the chemo today. I’m glad she was able to have so many cheery visitors yesterday. Her (and my) friend who stayed with her the first night in Saskatoon is visiting today and says she doesn’t look very good. Kaitlyn’s mom is struggling with seeing her daughter in pain.

  2. Thank you, everyone. Our pastor and his wife just left, and while they were here we put in the DVD of my husband’s childhood family videos. I’m sure parts of it weren’t all that interesting to them, though it is fun to see a child running around with a puppy when that child is now a 50-plus man sitting in the room with you. I’d only seen it once and the girls hadn’t seen it for years. To see the man who just died at a month from 80 as a 20-something man is something.

    We were all present and it was a very peaceful end, with my husband quoting Scripture and then praying as we held hands, then hugged and cried. My parents both died alone (with my dad, we were in the house but not in the room), and it was a blessing to have the whole family there, even without any last words or anything of the sort. It was a blessing to have known him for nearly six years. It doesn’t at the moment feel “real” that he is gone, but we take comfort that he is free from the issues that have plagued his body to a greater and greater degree the past several years.

  3. Prayers for AnnMS. She hasn’t been on here much this year. Her birthday was February 6, and she came back a few days after that to thank people for the birthday wishes we expressed, but other than that, we’ve not seen much of her. I believe her dearly loved housekeeper was planning to go back to her home country early this year, so that, combined with other (nuclear- and extended-) family matters, are things we can pray about on her behalf.
