2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
A colleague Judy is going in for spinal surgery this morning. She has a number of complicating factors making this even more difficult. We’re all concerned. Please pray as you’re lead.
My job continues to have more and more items piled onto it at a time when I’d really rather not . . . though, of course, Judys health is paramount, not my convenience.
I have a pre-cataracts-surgery physical coming up on Thursday. I’m pretty sure everything is fine, but please pray that nothing pops up that will delay my having the surgeries (one on Sept. 28, the other on Oct. 12). Thank you.
(Btw, I realize that if there is something wrong with my health, it would be good to find out & deal with it. But my eyesight is so bad, I really want those cataracts out of my eyes ASAP. 🙂 )
It is all clarified by Janice. I jumped the gun, so to speak. Probably should not say that word around Californians but I am an Idahoan. Sometimes pre op is quite close, other times farther away.
Thank you, all, for your concern. Sorry I was not more clear in posting about pre-op. I did not know until we got into it what all would be done.
I was exhausted when we got home. I guess I am still recouperating from overdoing on the yard work a few days ago, and that combined with stress of surgery anticipation, and having gotten a late start without coffee to arrive around 7:30 a.m. at the hospital, evolved in combined effort to make me feel a bit down and in the dumps or slumps. I napped for awhile. So did Art. So did Miss Bosley. Remember the children’s book titled The Napping House? It “R” us!♡

I thought it was a ways down the road, as well, but today at eleven she said they were doing pre op work and have not heard from her since.

Isn’t pre-op done several days beforehand?
