I lift up Mumsee for expansion of wisdom and patience that she needs from You. She already possesses a lot, but some days need a bit more. I pray for a calming of restless souls at the Nest. May new pathways be formed in the young minds there that lead away from thoughtless rebellion and lead toward mature level-headed thoughts that adhere to Your standards for living. I pray for Your peace to reign in all hearts there this day. If the evil one has any influence on the young on the property, I pray the power in the blood of Jesus to conquer and claim victory there now. Please help Mumsee in her every moment of need. You are her great help in trouble times and her joy giver in all times. Thank You for blessings poured down on her and the Nest this day. Also, please give Mike an equal share of blessings according to his needs as he travels the roads. Keep him healthy and in excellent company. May he meet people along his routes that are divine appointments set by You for sharing his love for Jesus and his family. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen
Daughter got the Lyme test today. We are grateful that the PA she saw today is a great listener and investigator, and he takes seriously a serious disease. God be praised for providing this thoughtful caregiver.
Thanks also for prayers for my headache, if you saw my early-morning post on yesterday’s prayer thread. I slept solidly from around 1 a.m. to 6:30, and my headache was much less upon waking, and now it is completely gone.
6 Arrows – I am hoping that the Lyme test is negative, but if it turns out to be positive. . .I would suggest taking the results to that doctor who refused to do the test. Not out of an “I told you so” attitude, but so that maybe she will learn to listen to her patients better. Maybe someday she’ll think twice & a patient will get an answer the doctor might have overlooked.
Thanks, Karen. My guess is that my husband won’t want us dealing with that cardiologist again, as he told me yesterday after the appointment, when he heard about her Lyme’s opinions, that he would have just walked out of there. He doesn’t feel it’s worth the time and effort to educate relatively uninformed people who act pretty close-minded. I’d have to agree in this case.
Maybe she will be encouraged to research the topic more. I hope she does, as there can be cardiac implications if Lyme’s isn’t initially well-treated. (And she did acknowledge that it can cause heart rhythm issues, after she’d first stated that the only manifestation of disseminated Lyme’s is in the joints. Well, no, not always, but I didn’t say that. She backtracked on her own.)
We’re just so thankful we got a knowledgeable practitioner today who was willing to test instead of just say, “Just take some Motrin,” as the cardiologist said yesterday. The PA today understood we wanted to investigate possible underlying issues instead of simply treating symptoms.
Wisdom and patience. Always. Thanks.
