Prayer Requests 6-18-16

Anyone have something to share?

Psalm 61

¹Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

  1. I’m speaking about an hour north of here at a ladies’ afternoon tea on the importance of spiritual devotions. I’ve already written my blog posts out of my talk, which will run for the next two weeks.

Please pray I don’t distract from what God has me to say, and that I provide interesting ideas and concepts for these women to incorporate into their lives–by God’s grace.

    I’m not worried.

    Thanks.

  2. Two prayer requests:

First, my parents are driving home from my mom’s surgery in Little Rock. Please pray for safe travels.

Secondly, I’ve carried a diagnosis of Biploar disorder for many years. I’ve been stabilized on medication for a long time but recently am not doing well. I could use all the prayers available

  3. Carol’s boyfriend, Ben, was taken to an acute psychiatric hospital yesterday — not the first time, like Carol he’s had a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia for many years but seems not as stable or functional as Carol is on the medications they have for that now. So he winds up hitting these crisis points that require him to be hospitalized to get stabilized again. Pray for a good treatment plan and that he won’t have to stay there very long this time.

  4. And pray for him spiritually as well, he’s Latino, raised Catholic, but knows very little really about the Christian faith, my sense is that he’s not been to church (of any kind) in many years. Carol is good about reading the Bible to him on the phone and during their visits, but my sense is that he’s not a believer though he seems to enjoy hearing the Bible.

  6. Prayers, Mumsee and Yapamom.

Could really use prayers here right now. Obstinate 12-year-old, trying to control everyone’s travel plans as we head out the door to two different places in two different vehicles. (Some of us going to visit my dad on Father’s Day, some of us going to visit my mother-in-law on this first Father’s Day that my husband doesn’t have his dad. Everyone has decided which place to go, except 12 thinks he’s the one to determine where everyone goes when and in which vehicle.)

A mess, and 8-year-old is upset about 12 being upset…

    And so it goes…

    Thanks.

  7. Thanks for your prayers. As noted on the first page, I was introduced as speaking on Oswald Chambers. I tossed out my notes and talked about OC and Biddy. It went well and I had a terrific day.

  8. The three daughters who went with me (ages 19, 14 and 8) and I are back home now after visiting my parents. Hubby just told us to leave in the vehicle we’d planned on taking, and he said he’d take care of whatever happened after that with the 12-year-old son. Not sure of the end of the story yet, as hubby and 12 and 23 and 26 are not home yet, but they did manage to leave the premises at some point, so I guess that’s a start. 😉

When I was getting ready to leave my parent’s house, then there was some trouble with 8-year-old and 14-year-old, too. Sheesh. Really?

I’m glad to be home. Thanks for prayers. If you want to pray some more for us tonight, that would be welcome. Day’s not done yet. 😉
