Prayer Requests 6-16-16

It’s Thursday, so don’t forget to pray for Jo, her students, and the people of PNG.

Anyone else?

Psalm 59

¹Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.

They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.

Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

10 The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

11 Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

15 Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

17 Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

  1. Husband has his two hundred hours and is to take his final test today. He will have to decide if this is what he wants to be doing for a while. He is leaning against it at this point. If he passes the test, he will need to get home from Salt Lake. His sister who lives in Boise, is on call to go pick him up if needed. Or the truck driver he has been mentored by may get a load this way. He, the driver, wants to be home in Spokane by Saturday so that is likely. Or he may be assigned a truck and drive up here. Prayer for God’s timing and wisdom in all. Thanks.

  2. Before we got over here they had a fire evacuation at the complex. They are backed up and Mr. P still hasn’t been taken in for the procedure. They did take him back and let him lie down. I brought my computer today because work has to happen some time. Guy is being patient.
I was also smart enough to bring a sandwich today rather than sit here starving, not knowing when they would be finished.
Yep, I sort of look like Granny Clampett set up in the waiting room. 😉

  3. They are about to take him back. They are going to try to go into the spine further up his back. If this doesn’t work they will do it later at Biloxi Hospital with a surgeon. Let’s pray this works and gives him some relief.

  4. Husband passed his test in SLC and was given a truck and offered a load to Colorado. He turned it down and noticed the fan was not working by the bunk so took it in for maintenance. They also noticed no air in one of the tires, and several other things. He will be staying put while they fix stuff. And will be looking for a load to Lewiston. Or he may call it quits. Still does not know.
